The clock reads 7:30 as it was the start of y/n's bedtime routine first up was Bath time. "come on sweetie lets get you all cleaned up" Joe picks up y/n and carries them over to the bathroom to run a bubble bath. y/n happily splashes about while Joe gently washes the little bit of hair on their head and their little body
Joe then dry's y/n off with a blue cat hooded towel. "There we go all nice and dry" Joe says calmly. He scoops you up carrying you over to the changing table to put you in a y/f/c onesie with stars on it. He kisses your forehead and puts you in your crib for your bedtime story Joe picked out the very hungry caterpillar. As it was your favourite book and you always loved it when he read it to you.
"...and he was a beautiful butterfly at the end" Joe looks down to see you asleep peacefully. He puts the book back onto the shelf beside the crib. Joe tucks a blanket just a few inches under y/n's armpits. "goodnight sweetie sleep tight" he whispers while turning off the light in the bedroom. As he goes back to the bathroom mop up the water y/n splashed around he examines his reflection in the mirror. As he looked at himself he realised how long his hair was growing "hmmm i think its time for a little trim" after he finished cleaning up the Bathroom he went to his room to get his phone
He sent a text to his cousin Josh to ask him to babysit for two hours so he can get a haircut. Josh texted back saying that he would love to. Josh loves to babysit you he loved to see you and so did Blue.
In the early afternoon Joe went to drop off y/n. "Sorry it was last minute I hope you don't mind"Joe said as he rolled y/n's stroller into the living room "Oh no it's fine I love to babysit y/n, they are so cute" said Josh "Well everything they will need is in their bag ill be back in two hours call me if anything happens " Joe said as he kissed your forehead goodbye and handed y/n off to Josh and left.
"we are gonna have such a fun time" he said rubbing the baby's head. He and blue had just finished playing blues clues and Blue got Josh to lay out some blocks for y/n to play with. Josh sat them down in front of them to play with all of the colourful plastic blocks. They reached out grabbing two of them and gently hitting them together giggling to themselves. But they were absolutely in awe of the y/f/c blocks they loved grabbing them and staring at them. "awe you like y/f/c don't you?" y/n babbled back as they continued to play. Blue had walked over to say hi to y/n "bow bow!" she exclaimed twirling. y/n giggled and babbled back at the blue puppy, Blue had got the baby a stacking ring toy "bow bow" she said sliding it over to y/n. They were having a grand time grabbing and shacking the colourful rings until
y/n had let out a little yawn and stretched out their little arms dropping the toys in their little hands starting to cry"looks like its nap time" josh softly said picking up carrying the baby over to the bedroom. Josh turned the light off and rocked y/n "shh its ok im here" Blue got Josh a book to read to y/n before he put them down
y/n's eyes fluttered open as they stretched their arms and legs "oh i hope you enjoyed your nap lets get you some food" josh said scooping them up and heading to the kitchen. While y/n was napping Josh had already handed their bottle over to Mrs. Pepper to prepare their bottle "hey mrs pepper! is y/n bottle ready yet?" he asked "almost" she replied as she was cooling it down. y/n started to tear up growing impatient "its ready" Mrs. Pepper announces sliding it over to Josh. "thanks" he says while going to the table to feed the baby. They stopped crying and happily drank the bottle "wow you were really hungry" josh laughs. After y/n finished off their bottle Josh takes them back over to the living room to play again.
He puts the cap on the bottle and shoves it into the bag and switches it out for a rattle. Josh hands it over to y/n to play with, he pulls out his phone checking the time "hmm looks like your dad is gonna be here soon" Josh says as he sits y/n on his lap while you happily shake the rattle. after a while there is a knock at the door "oh looks like dads here" Josh says as he gets up to answer the door. "hey josh how was y/n?"he asked while stepping into the house. "they were great, they played napped and ate" he said handing over the baby back to their dad, y/n was giggling and happy to see their dad again until they saw Joe's new hair cut. they started crying as soon as they saw his hair. "thanks i love it too" he says holding the baby up to his shoulder and rubbing their back. "i think your hair looks fine" josh says
