Our little Cantina we have
The two, had survived the Empire and were now part of the Clone Rebel Cause.
Soup and Toast.
The two clones always having catered to the other clones was back in the GAR, parties and such. The two with their connections always getting the good stuff for their brethren to enjoy during down time.
Things though having been as bright while serving the Evil Regime of Palpatine’s. Thankfully the two had managed to escape, go AWOL as it was the truth and join the Rebel Clones. Their very own Cause.
And so it had been only natural for the couple in becoming the resident caterers of the Rebel Clones despite Gregor and Fireball too having the knack and very special interest for the food and drink industry.
The four clones then often working together when the missions allowed. But when it can to make the really good stuff good or drinks, well it was as per tradition, Toast and Soup bringing their A game to the picture for sure.
But it wasn’t just all food and drinks the two had in their lives either.
As it was, the partnership and love shared between the two had thankfully never gone away despite the control chips raising havoc in most troopers. If anything, they had found solace in each other during their time as imperial drones, always having felt rather different, their chips malfunctioning at best.
Alas, for a while there, the confusion shared having taken an affect on the duo as well and so, remaining in the Empire for a duration had been a choice.
But now, they were happy just to be alive and together while helping their brothers to a better life and food and drinks was one way of doing it.
Right now though, the two were on a break and having arrived to Pabu.
The haven of the clones as it was known as among the troops. Some clones even living there permanently while most were taking their shore leave there.
Sunbathing on the beach was still new. Alas the Bad Batch among the other clones having made Rex’s clones feel right at home. Opening their houses to the frequent visitors on the island.
“This is perfect, my sweet.”
“Yeah, it really is, love.”
The two toasted with the drinks at hand as supplied by Wrecker. The Powerhouse something of an aficionado himself all things cooking and drinks on Pabu. The three agreed on sharing some recipes and hosting a barbecue later on.
Soup and Toast kissed and observed the other clones and locals playing on the sea shore. Laughter and happiness filling the air.
“Should we join them then?”
“Later love. Right now I just want to be here and spend this time time you.”
Not that they weren’t together always in the Cause, but this was their time. No hungry Rebels waiting to be served. Not that they did not love their job, having their own Cantina back on the Rebel Base and all. But this was vacation time. Their personal time. Something new for sure.
“Alright. Later.”
They sat there for a long spell on perfect silence.
“Ya think we should come here after it’s all over.”
“Well this is very lovely.”
“Maybe we could open a small cafe here?”
“You’ve already making plans there, sweetie aren’t ya.”
"Is it really that bad? To think of our future after the fight?”
“No. No is all good. Very good.”
“So, you wouldn’t mind living here then?”
Toast smiled at Soup.
“Not as long as we’re together.”
They leaned in for a kiss, then an other following suit.
“That, is what this is all about.”
“I couldn’t agree more, sweetie.”
“Now come on, love! Let’s go and join in the game and show the rest of them how it’s done!”
Toast offered his hand, Soup taking it.
The two then sprinting while laughing gingerly. Joining their friends in the activity happening. Perhaps something, which would soon become their norm as well?
