Prompt 1: Searching for you, (I found you, but you weren't there) [Extra: sick, hollow, rain]
Yoshiki's Poem
SHIVER.
You and I were never warm again
After that night.
When I found you
Deep inside that storm-sieged forest
You were already gone.
My heart is still there with you
Dead, caught in that moment
But my body is here with you
Cold, wrapped in your arms.
Even now
You hold me while I tremble
And the heat outside warms the earth
Yet I feel frozen
And you can't thaw these iced over wounds.
The chill from that night remains
The emptiness in your eyes remains
The icy feeling of your skin on mine remains
The twilit sky that's watching us remains
The window I left open last night…
The cold remains.

Hikaru's Poem
FEVER.
Something has made you sick
And I'm powerless against it.
I feel your heart fluttering anxiously
As your body fights back
Fending off whatever this bold illness is.
I try to stay calm
But I don't want to lose you.
Your suffering is something I can't swallow
But I know getting hurt is part of living.
I don't like it
But I have to accept it.
I can't stay in these stanzaical lines on my own
I need you to guide me
These rules that others make
Which we are meant to follow
I hate them
But I love you.
I try to obey them
But won't fit properly without you.
There's nothing else to do right now
Except hope that the tempestuous battle inside of you
Ends quicker than the diluvial storm
Outside your open window.
Rest well
For I am with you now
And forever.
