I hated the morning rush to the train. It was my least favorite part of going back to Hogwarts,that and the fact I'm reminded I no longer have friends who pay me any attention. This year was different in a way unlike any before. I was alone..beyond alone I was literally a phantom at this point. It wasn't my fault I was told not to engage in their disrupting behavior against umbridge! I hated her just as much as the next student but I surely wasn't going to act a fool. I stood outside the loading platform of the train my father putting a hand on my shoulder as I turn to face him. His face was soft almost as if this was our final goodbye even if I knew I would see him shortly for another death eater meeting just next weekend. I wrapped my arms around him as I stepped back fixing my sweater, my father now approached brushing me off with her hands as she cups my face she had been in a good mood since last week, I hadn't known why. Her grip got tighter as she leaned in close her voice stinging and low "don't disappoint me Liara, or you won't step foot into sunlight again. understood?" I just stepped back her hands letting me go as I nod my head falling to my feet. "yes mother.." even if I didn't want to sound strong, or obedient I did. She smiled at me as she grabbed my fathers arms and I stepped onto the train walking straight to the back. That's where all the fancy compartments are at least, I slid open the door to the first class seats as I chose a corner to sit in my eyes falling to none other then Draco Malfoys, he was already staring at me his eyes burning into mine and I shot my head down. I knew just why he was staring at me to, he had been cursed with the dark mark just a few weeks ago. My family had attended the lavish ceremony along with many other families associated with the dark lord and I could tell, he was watching me for a reason. I wouldn't dare open my mouth about what I had seen, I took an oath I swore I wouldn't talk and yet..here he was watching me. A chill ran down my spine as I searched my bag for a book anything only finding a text book and i sighed grabbing a notebook I flipped through the pages taking notes and studying the whole train ride to Hogwarts.
When I finally arrived i sat in the great hall flipping through my muggle book. oh to be a disturbed scientist longing for a friend like victor Frankenstein. My attention was completely enveloped into my book when a tap on my shoulder shook me out of my trance. "ciao Bella" it was none other then Theodore nott. worlds biggest flirt and an entire sleaze ball but he was my friend. my only friend this year apparently. "hey Theo" I smack my lips together as I close my book turning to look at the boy. his robes were on sloppy his tie not correct his hair frizzy and a mess I scowled at him as I sighed grabbing his tie and fixing it. my hands working slowly and precisely as I spoke up. "who is she?" I say as I pull his tie up slightly but his words caused me to jolt choking him with the fabric. "pansy..." I almost spat out my non existent water my heart sinking as I look around my voice lowering. "Theodore nott. pansy Parkinson the Pansy!? draco malfoy's pansy!?" I hit my hands onto my forehead as I groan into my hands. "he doesn't own her! she loves me." I shake my head in disbelief as the ceremony starts and I turn to him still ignoring the head master. "he practically does. don't you know he chose her at his death eater ceremony!? he owns her practically" I say as I whisper yell at him and his eye brow raises. "no he didn't? he chose someone secretively" I shake my head as I point at pansy who's snuggled up to draco who's...staring at me. the same chill that ran down my spine before proceeds to run up it as I avert my gaze. "can I tell you something Theo?" I say lowly as I feel dracos piercing gaze theodore nods as he looks at draco raising and eyebrow before looking at me. "yeah? what is it bella?" I shake my head as the head master starts talking but I ignore it. "draco...somethings up with him. he keeps watching me closely..to closely" I say softly as I turn back Draco's gaze no longer on me but now on Theo. Theo shakes his head as he snaps his head towards me. "don't play in things you have no business in liara" I just shook my head a chill running down my spine, he clearly knew something I didnt and it was starting to infiltrate my head.
After the ceremony and getting settled into our dorms I snuck out tip toeing around the common room a book in my hand and as I approach the dimly lit room I see the group of boys standing there. Theodore, draco, blaize, crabbe, and goyle. They start chatting and draco smacks Theo my heart racing as I slink back against the wall.
"what did I say nott. shes mine to look after! don't get in my way."
"she doesn't belong to anyone Malfoy. shes my friend and the only friend I seem to have"
another slap. hard to the face.
"keep your distance from liara or else nott."
My heart sank as I fell back knocking something over causing the boys to turn there attention and shout "Get them!" I ran as fast as I could slinking into my dorm as I pant. When I hear the handle turn I run climbing into my bed as I pant trying to stop my breathing. And in the silence the dead silence of the night I hear a voice.
"liara. don't play games get up now."
