Chapter Text
After a long day of dealing with Conrad’s jokes—Yuuri shivers, just thinking back to those jokes made him freeze cold. Gunter’s nosebleeds, and Gwendal air-knitting while he had to sign his copious amounts of paperwork, he could finally go to bed.
He TOTALLY finished his paperwork for today, totally.
No? That's definitely not a new crease on Gwendal’s eyebrow.
Yuuri stands up from his chair and gets dizzy all too fast, but starts to stretch nonetheless.
Crack! “Ahhh, that feels much better!” Yuuri turns around mid stretch to look outside and sees it's already getting dark.
“Late already?” Yuuri thinks to himself, turning back around to look at Gwendal.
Yuuri smiles his signature smile, trying to awkwardly lighten the mood with Gwendal,
“Time flies, huh? I didn't even notice. I was signing papers all day! better head to bed.”
Gwendal just barely looks at him, still knitting—probably upset that Yuuri still had extra paperwork to finish from escaping his office so much. That was his queue to leave. Yuuri quickly walks to the giant double doors and opens them, shutting the doors behind himself with a loud clicking sound.
His footsteps echo throughout the halls, walking down the corridors to his bedroom. As Yuuri walks to his bedroom, his mind starts to wander. Yuuri thinks back to that feast he had the first day he got here, about his newfound engagement to that hottheaded pretty boy prince.
Yuuri starts to get irritated.
It all happened so fast, I slapped a guy for calling my mom a hussy, and boom! I'm engaged to him! Who set that up?
Yuuri starts to speed up his walking subconsciously, and his footsteps start to get heavier.
Yuuri sighs, lifting his head as he notices the guards at their posts as he walks by.
“Two boys being engaged together…” Yuuri lightly says to himself while thinking: It's taboo! Two boys can't be together!
Yuuri's mind goes blank for a moment,
“Things like this always happen to me…” Yuuri says following up with a heavy breath that could be taken as a sigh or a frustrated huff of air, neither he or the guards at their posts knew.
He finally reaches his bedroom door, "Tomorrow will be another day, and maybe this will turn out to be an elaborate fever dream.” Yuuri says, opening the comically large doors and stepping inside.
