Glee’s moment

Summary:

Sunsets always made Glee sentimental.

Notes:

Fictober 2025, prompt #29: Where did they go?

I’m not a writer, English is not my first language and the fic is also unbetaed, so.... Sorry! :D

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Sunsets

Chapter Text

Sunsets always made Glee sentimental, and the one they were admiring on the shore of Lake Kwenhay was particularly spectacular.

So, she couldn’t help it, she had to share with the others her feelings about that wonderful Nature’s masterpiece. She looked at the Sun painting the sky with all those amazing shades of red, orange and pink, and described them with many, many cheese, rhetorical words.

When she was at the peak of her speech she turned back, and abruptly stopped talking.

Her sudden silence caught the others’ attention more than her words: “Glee, is everything OK?” asked, worried, Strelitzia.

Chapter 2: Where did they go?

Chapter Text

“It’s just… usually this one for me is the where-did-they-go moment.”

“The what?”

“When I try to improvise poetry, the moment I turn back everyone is gone and I ask myself: ‘Where did they go?’ But you are all still here. You listened to me.”

Even Sam hadn’t the heart to respond to that with sarcasm: “Well, not doing it would have been pretty rude,” she just said.

The others agreed.

“I like your poetry,” added K’tarin: “I don’t understand it, but you talk like an old book, it’s fascinating.”

Glee’s eyes filled with tears, but her mouth was smiling.

Notes:

Glee seems to be the most inspiring of my OCs, I love writing her!

Thanks for reading! ^^
