Work Text:
This moment had been a long time coming. After all they’ve been through, it was only a matter of time before Mizi finally decided to take that step.
In truth it was Shine who had pushed her to do this, but, now that she’s here, looking at the woman she loves… Mizi can’t help but be grateful for that push.
Sua looked as radiant as ever, a beautiful, elegant sleeveless white dress hugging her torso, loosening at her waist and flowing down to her ankles. She looked like she had descended from heaven itself just for Mizi. It only served to make her both excited and overwhelming nervous, her hands started to feel clammy as she squeezed the small black box hidden behind her back.
Calm down… Just take a deep breath and relax.
With that she took one step closer. Then another, and another, and another, until she was standing just close enough to see that small, knowing smile gracing her beloved’s face. Of course Sua knew, Mizi had never been good at hiding things from her God, but that never stopped her from trying to surprise her every once in a while, and even if it never worked, it was always worth the effort. And so, she smiled back, moving down onto one knee her eyes closing as took one final deep breath before finally, finally asking her beloved for everything she’s ever wanted.
“Sua… Darling, you’ve changed my life in ways I never thought possible, you made hope bloom in the deep abyss that was once my heart, and saved me from a hell that I once believed unescapable. I know I’ll never be able to repay you for all that you’ve done, but if you would allow me to be selfish and add to this debt…”
She moved her hands from behind her back, slowly lifting her arms and presenting the black box to her beloved, there wasn’t a noise aside from the sound of their breathing and the slight rustling of the leaves from the trees outside the window of their shared home. With slow, deliberate movements she lifted the lid of the box, revealing the ring inside. It was a small thing, but Sua had never been one for overly flashy jewellery.
The ring was a perfect match for the goddess standing before her. A simple design, a silver band embedded with sparkling diamonds that were just big enough to be present, but small enough to not draw attention, just how Sua would want it.
The pink haired woman didn’t have to, no, need to say anything more, but she chose to do so regardless.
“My God, my universe… Will you always be by my side, for the rest of however long we may live?”
“What a silly question…”
Sua simply sighed, the breath slipping past her still curved lips. She moved with a grace befitting only the most beautiful of Gods. An angle among humans. The ring slipped on with ease, the perfect size, shining under the soft light that enveloped them both.

Their breathing was steady as the lay, legs intertwined under the sheets as they stared up at the ceiling. Mizi’s hair spread out on the pillow like a halo, the bright light of the moon making it shine along with her eyes.
Sua was resting her head against Mizi’s shoulder, her left hand resting on her stomach as the ring caught on the light, shining as though it were a star plucked straight from the night sky.
The rustling of the leaves outside had stopped, leaving the two women to their thoughts. Neither of them spoke, they didn’t have to, they already knew what the other was thinking. About the beautiful future they were going to have together…
What they had once thought would forever remain a dream, had now become a reality that Mizi and Sua were willing to run towards without hesitation.
