"Your hair has gotten long, Ryo"
His low voice stirred up gravel in his throat while his tanned hands carded through the blonde locks of the angel before him. The house was still, still and quiet. The white walls were almost blinding as they clashed with the floors of the same colour. Akira found himself brushing his best friend's silky hair during a dinner that turned into a "slumber party" (as Akira had put it when he had decided to stay with Ryo for the evening)
"Ah uhm" Ryo's ivory skin burnt a subtle and faded red as he looked down at his lap "yes. I've been too busy to cut it" It was uncharacteristic of Ryo to have forgotten to take care of his hair, but being busy with work isn't too unbelievable either. Akira smiled as he ran his clawed hands through a small section of his friend's hair, his eyes crinkling up at the corners
"It suits you" his sunkissed skin seemed to glow as he praised Ryo, earning a bright flush from the angel. Ryo knew he loved Akira, but Ryo ALSO knew that Akira was too oblivious to know how Ryo felt about him, so he decided to try and keep his blushing to himself.
"Always so forward. Do you say that to everyone?" Ryo grumbled softly as he looked back at Akira, icy blues scanning over the devilman's features. "I mean, I guess it depends on the situation? Y'know?" Akira's smile stretched from ear to ear as he tried to ponder the times he would compliment someone. Meanwhile Ryo simply shrunk as he noted his own envy.
'Of course he says it to others, you buffoon. It's a compliment'
He groaned softly as he ran a stressed hand down his face. If only Akira could read minds, maybe Ryo would find himself less distressed. However, that's not the case. So Ryo must remain enamored with this oblivious Himbo from afar.
