so a bit of background on this situation
I graduate middle school in two weeks and then a month after that i move to glendale in socal. i’m currently in sacramento right now, so im still in the state. but its wayyyyyy hotter there and also WHERE THE HECK IS GLENDALE?? does anyone honestly live there??
my best friend is sam. he’s been going to my school since kindergarten. he’s the one who told me to go to sleep last night
thank god that the internet is a wonderful place where i can facetime my friends so “glendale” wont kill our friendship! (take that glendale)
i also learned that it’s only an hour away from disneyland…

hi guys! sorry about the sparse updates. right now my family is packing and in my free time ive been hanging with sam and my friends before i move.
so lincoln high in glendale is where i’m going to school. don’t ask me which one because there are 6 LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOLS in that area and i don’t have the willpower to actually research about it.
i know this account was made to complain, but it really does suck. ive spent my entire life here, and now I just have to leave. im going somewhere new with no one i know and i’m just expected to adjust?? They don’t know me and they’ll probably think im a nerd or weird and then ill never belong.
idk. maybe im thinking about this waaaaaay too hard. i just finished packing kitchen stuff, so maybe im just moody.
it still sucks.

YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!! thanks so much for the advice; this was just one example of the over 20 people who responded! i was feeling pretty depressed yesterday, so this was very awesome to wake up to!
me and sam played trombones in concert band, so im thinking of continuing on with music. i prefer history, but band looks fun (plus it gets me out of PE THANK GOD!!)
im also thinking some social justice clubs :p i’m a nerd, sue me.

so it’s been a bit. ive finally unpacked my room and its… interesting.
i miss my friends. calling isnt the same. delilah, martin, and hannah had a hangout a bit ago while playing a new game. i was in the call and noticed they weren’t responding to me. i thought they were ignoring me until the realized i was muted for them. they apologized but ive never felt more alone in my life

so i learned more about my school.
theres a marching band so im going to join. something called “band camp” starts in two weeks so im hoping ill meet people but im currently not optimistic. then school starts…
i wish my parents would see this. they ruined my freaking life and now they get to live with it?? my life ended and they do nothing?? it is insane the lack of sympathy from them. im thiiiis close to running away. bet they wouldn’t notice anyway

I made a friends!! the trombones are really nice (and loud) and ive been hanging with them in my free time. that and practicing music (im a good member of this band, mr freeman. trust 🙏)

sam and i talked and our conversation made me realize that “belonging” is stupid. all anyone can really do is belong in ones own skin. he real belonging is finding something to keep going
i think i found it.
my friends make me feel complete. i dont feel weird or abnormal when im with them. I feel okay with myself. thats what makes me okay
sam has been going through it recently. its not my story to tell, but he told me how i made him belong. how i filled that gap. so i told him something i was told a while ago: “you are your biggest purpose in life.” i told him how i loved him and that im so sorry i cant be as big of a part in his life now, but that i will be there however i can. thats the best we can do, is to be there for someone
