Chapter Text
"Welcome, welcome" Dracula welcomed walking up to a yeti that had been invited to his daughter's wedding and shaking hands with them.
He was wearing a black tux with a red shirt plus a white crevette Valerie had gotten him the year prior on their first anniversary for their first date.
"So glad you could come" Valerie greeted as well, also shaking the yeti's hands, she was wearing a long sleeved sheered dress that had a floor length train, that was also sheered, but the front only went to slightly above her knees, the bodice was a tight low cut corset (pic), that showed off her pushed up assets
Much to Dracula's joy and chagrin because everyone else could see the assets too, which is why he insisted she'd wear a cape, although it didn't help hide it all that much.
Over the past year Valerie had come to like the gothic style and had many gothic inspired clothes in her closet, which was in her room.
Yes, she had a permanent room in the hotel which was right next to Drac's and had adjusted to it quite nicely, especially after her brother mailed in all her stuff.
~
"Mr. and Mrs. Loughran parents of the groom and family" a suit of armor at the door announced, every monster turned and stared at the humans that walked down the white carpet laid out in the lobby.
"Mom and dad!" Johnny greeted going up to his family and hugging his mother Linda.
"Oh Johnny!" Linda greeted and hugged him back.
"I can't believe you're all here" Johnny grinned looking at his family.
"Linda, Mike! Welcome!" Valerie greeted with a smile as she went over to them and shook hands with them.
"Valerie dear, what's with that dress?" Linda asked with a tight smile.
"Oh just something i picked up in town, do you like it?" Valerie asked twirling around making the cape swish around her.
"So are you" Linda then stage whispered "One of them?" she asked.
Valerie sighed "I wish i was" she said before changing the subject as she noticed Dracula coming over "So pictures?" she asked.
"Yes, good idea sweet blood, let's get right to it" Dracula said laying a hand on her shoulder, he had added sweet blood to the list of nicknames he had for her after they had been cooking in the kitchen and she had cut her finger and he couldn't help getting a little taste.
~
The first picture was of Johnny as his groomsmen, his backpack was his best man and two of his brothers and Blobby were the rest of the grooms party.
The next picture was of Mavis and her bridesmaids, her party consisted of a blue monster, a shrunken head, a green hairy monster and Johnny's only sister, Valerie wasn't hurt or bitter at all about not being even asked to be a bridesmaid, really.
Then the grooms and bride's families, which Valerie did get to be a part of, standing next to Drac, she was glad that at least Mavis saw her as family.
~
Outside in the back of the hotel where the wedding would be held guest were getting seated
"Yo, how hot is my date?" Murray asked turning to the other in the Drac pack.
"So hot, wow, how about how hot mine is?" Griffin asked turning to the empty seat next to his.
"You got a date?" Murray asked.
"Yeah, she's invisible that's why you can't see her" Griffin said.
"Then how can you see her?" Valerie asked slipping into her seat behind them which was next to Drac's.
The other snickered as Griffin spluttered trying to come up with an answer before changing the subject shushing them as the wedding got started.
The maid of honor lead the party with her human escort, and again Valerie wasn't hurt or bitter at all that she wasn't even asked to be a bridesmaid, it really didn't sting at all that she wasn't even considered by Mavis as maid of honor, really.
The blue monster waived back to a witch before gesturing to her escort and pretending to gag.
Next was the flower girl, a distant cousin of Johnny's, the little girl had a flower crown on top her red hair holding a basket of black flowers and a teddy bear, the humans, except Valerie, cooed at the adorable girl.
Before she was viciously mauled by a pack of 300 wolf pups, who were not at all getting revenge for their sister who was not picked to be the flower girl, really, they were just playing around, really.
Then Mavis appeared at the end of the aisle wearing in a black wedding dress Valerie had helped pick out with a vail spun from spider silk and tiara on her head and a blood red gem necklace on her neck.
As Dracula watched his daughter walk down the aisle he could swear she became a child in his eyes but for only a moment, Mavis had chosen to walk down the aisle on her own which he was not bitter about at all, and this time i actually mean that.
Johnny and Mavis exchanged vowels and their rings and went to seal the deal with a kiss, but before Dracula could interfere in anyway Valerie stabbed him in the leg with a silver fork and muffling his cries behind her hand as Johnny and Mavis kissed and the crowd cheered.
~
At the reception a pail gillman was giving a speech in total gibberish, well that's what it was to most humans at least, all the monsters, Johnny and Valerie got every word and were in tears.
"True, so true Marty" Johnny said raising a goblet to the gillman.
~
Then Johnny and Mavis cut the scream cheese wedding cake handing off pieces that were also screaming and tried going back to the cake like children separated from their mother.
~
"Did you really have to stab me? And with a silver fork? Really?!" Dracula asked as he and Valerie danced at the reception.
"Oh hush you're fine, it'll just take longer to heal, besides i didn't want to let you ruin that moment Johnny and Mavis were having" she said.
Dracula laughed sheepishly "I wouldn't have done that" he tried denying but Valerie called him out on it with a blank 'really' face.
"Okay i might have done that" he admitted, Valerie smiled and patted his cheek "And now you know not to do it" she said.
Dracula chuckled a bit and held her hand on his cheek as they got caught in a moment of their own and resolved it with a small passionate kiss.
"Now go on, dance with your daughter" Valerie said sending him off with a smile "I love you" Dracula said kissing her hand as he left "Love you too" she said watching him go.
Dracula went dancing with his daughter on the ceiling, Valerie rolled her eyes with a fond smile 'Show off' she thought.
"Is it everything you wanted my little poison berry?" Dracula asked Mavis as he spun her around.
"Oh it is daddy, except where's grandpa Vlad?" Mavis asked.
"Honey your gramps would not have been cool with this, he's old school" Dracula said.
"How do we know? If he could just meet Johnny, or Valerie" Mavis said.
Dracula growled a bit tightening his hold "I'd rather get stabbed with a stake then him ever meeting Valerie as a human" he said, he didn't even want to imagine the horrors his father would inflict on his love.
"What do you mean by as a human? Don't you love her as she is? Like i love Johnny" Mavis said.
"Of course i do, it doesn't matter if either is human, monster or unicorn if they are happy, i'm happy" Dracula said smiling at her.
"That said however Valerie and i have discussed it, she's very well aware of her mortality and we came to decision, after we're married, whenever that may be, i'll turn her into a vampire" Dracula told her.
"Holy rabies!" Mavis gasped "That's a huge decision" she said.
"Yes but enough about me and Valerie, tonight is about you" Dracula said and smiled at her.
"Thanks dad" Mavis smiled back.
~
After the dances everyone gathered around as Dracula sang to Mavis and Johnny with an ukulele.
And you'll always be my moonlight,
But now on wings of love you soar.
Now that you're Johnny's girl.
Johnny's girl and kind of daddy's too:
Your mom would be so happy because she always knew.
Love is making room for all the best in you.
Everyone clapped as Dracula finished his song.
