Work Text:

Halloween night! One of the most looked forward to holidays. People waited months and months for one single day, a day celebrated worldwide. It was a single day, yet it was a grand hit between people of all ages. For kids it meant trick-or-treating, going door to door for candy and whatever goodies people handed out to those who knocked on their door. Now, for teens and adults? That meant parties. Whether it was big or small, they were celebrated.

On the topic of Halloween parties, that's where March 7th currently is: a Halloween party. Who threw it? The more popular kids in school, of course. They always threw parties that went on in this college; it was a habit at this point. Kafka was always at the scene of the crime, holding every party their college had. Well, it did make sense; she is rich, although no one was sure where the money came from… anyway! Back on topic!

March 7th was there, standing on the sidelines of the party, trying to stay away from the crowd as she searched the party for her friends. As she walked, the search for her friends still continued. She looked left and right all throughout the house. After a minute of looking, she sighed, close to giving up.

March frowner “Jeez! Where are they? Where could they have gone?”

Soon, she bumped into someone. Someone who looked exactly like her—this was… weird! Maybe she was a doppelgänger? Maybe a twin? Anyway, not the point! When she looked at this person, her eyes fell into the eyes of this woman: red, crimson red to be exact. They were beautiful. March 7th knew they weren’t real; they were all red; red eyes weren’t real.

The woman smiled. “Are you lost?”

March 7th shook her head. “No! I'm just looking for my friends. One is a girl and has shoulder-length grey hair; the other is a guy who has short black hair. Have you seen them? I hope you have! I'm a bit… lost!"

She shook her head. “No, I have not. Do you want help looking for them? I’m fine with helping. I have free time.”

March smiled. “Yeah! I would love help! Off we go!” Then grabbed the woman's hand and started leading her around the home

As they walked, they started to talk. March 7th has learned a few things about this person. Her name was Evernight, she studied psychology, she wanted to be a therapist, and she was 21. All important stuff for March 7th, all the information she needed to trust Evernight! She knew she shouldn't trust someone she just met; that was stupid, but… it was so hard not to! Evernight gave off such a comforting aura that she felt at peace with Evernight!

“Your costume is so cool, by the way!” March 7th told Evernight.

Evernight chuckles, “I’m only a vampire, nothing too fancy. Your costume is adorable. Being a rabbit suits you.”

March 7th blushed and chuckled in embarrassment. “O-oh, thank you so much!” Then they continued walking.

After about 10 minutes of searching, March 7th was done. “I give up! We’re never going to find them! I should just go home."

“Your costume is so cool, by the way!” March 7th told Evernight.  Evernight smiled. “I guess you will just have to meet them back home.”

March 7th frowned, “I guess ill head home… Are you headed home, Evernight?”

Evernight nodded. “Yes, I am.”

March 7th smiled, “Oh, oh! I can walk you home!"

Evernight frowned, “Are you sure? It’s dangerous outside at night; I’d rather you not get hurt…”

March 7th shook her head, "Don't worry! I got this! Let's go!” Then grabbed Evernights’s hand and started to pull her out of the house. In return, Evernight chuckled softly

The more they walked, the more they talked. They talked about everything they could think of. From how their week went to what they wanted to do in the future. To March 7th, Evernight was fascinating. She had a pet rabbit, who was named Evey! She was from the city Amphoreus. She knew how to crochet. The more things March 7th learned about Evernight, the more peaceful she seemed with Evernight.

Soon, they had arrived at Evernight’s dorm; it was quiet with no one around. The air was peaceful, still, yet calming. It made March 7th sleepy; she felt as if she could be lulled into sleep at any moment.

Evernight smiled. “Are you tired, March 7th?”

March 7th chuckled in embarrassment. “Y-yesh you could say that…”

Evernight hummed and backed her up against the wall. “Oh, really? Well, my dear March 7th, I know exactly how to wake you up…”

March 7th’s face fell into an embarrassing crimson shade. She was embarrassed. Well, "embarrassed" was an understatement. What was she? She was flustered beyond explanation. Her heart was going a hundred miles per hour as she tried to calm down, trying to assure herself she was fine. She had tried to walk this beautiful, enticing woman home; how did it end up like this? How did she end up pinned against a wall in the girls' dorm of their college? No matter the case, this was too much.

Evernight smirked and chuckled softly. “Oh? Why, you're quite red, my dear March 7th. How adorable.”

March simply whined, “Evernight, this isn't fair!”

Of course it wasn't fair. March was the one flustered and whining, on display for Evernight’s gorgeous eyes to roam. She looked pathetic, very pathetic. She was with a woman she had never met before; they had never interacted before. She was here being teased by this girl who had entranced her and convinced March 7th to take her home. For crying out loud, she was supposed to be someone who stands her ground, not a doormat! Yet with Evernight it was hard not to do what she says…

Evernight simply hummed, “Does it matter if it’s fair? I’m not sure it does. Besides, I’m having fun keeping you like this, stuck where I can do what I want to you.”

Evernight leaned into her ear. “And I'm sure you'd let me do what I want, wouldn't you?”

March looked away. “Well-“

Evernight quickly shut her up with a kiss, full of meaning and full of intent to get March 7th to confess her true feelings on the matter. “Don’t lie now. You know I’m telling the truth; I can see right through you.”

March 7th's eyes averted, too embarrassed to hold eye contact. “Evernight…”

Evernight hummed. “It's fine; you don't have to say anything. I can tell.”

March 7th simply nodded, “Alright, evernight…”

Evernight licked a simple section of the side of March 7th’s neck, determined to make her shiver. In return, March 7th felt a shiver envelop her body. Her senses were all mixed up, her mind conflicted between everything happening. On one hand, none of this should be happening; she shouldn’t have gone home with some random, albeit beautiful, woman she had met only an hour prior. On the other hand? She didn’t regret it, not at all. Although she wasn’t sure what she felt on this topic…

“Evernight, what exactly are you—“ she tried to say before Evernight cut her off.

Evernight bit into March 7th’s neck, silencing her questions. Her teeth sank deep into March 7th. The blood in her body soon started to be extracted by Evernight’s fangs, flowing in and being taken by her. The blood was warm, yet palatable. The rich taste stained Evernight’s mouth as she continued to take in March 7th's blood. Evernight was so delighted by this, finally getting a taste of someone she had wanted for the entire night.

As Evernight drank her blood, March 7th started to feel fuzzy, her mind clouding over with one single thought: more. It felt weird, yet she wanted more. She wanted more of Evernight, more of this sensation, more of whatever she was feeling. Pleasurable, enlightened, yet not satisfied. Her satisfaction wasn’t finished. How could it be? This feeling was taking over, the feeling of need and craving.

Evernight continued to drink March 7th’s blood, feasting on what she considered to be the best meal of the night. The feeling of March 7th’s blood in her mouth was delightful, enticing, and luscious. Evernight continued to take in the others' blood, savoring the flavor. Evernight felt amazing, like she could rule the world. She felt powerful as she continued to take in March 7th’s being.

Evernight soon pulled back and chuckled, “How was that, my beloved March 7th?”

March 7th was still trying to process everything that just happened. She was pinned to the wall by Evernight, now what she knows as a vampire. Which she didn't expect; how was she supposed to know her costume was real? Secondly, her blood was just sucked out of her body by the woman who she found gorgeous. The worst part? She wanted to do it again.

“Evernight?”

Evernight tilted her head in curiosity. “Yes?”

March spoke quietly. “Can… can we do it again? Please?”

Evernight chuckles. “As much as I would like to, I don’t think I want to make you pass out from blood loss. Although...”

Evernight leaned into March 7th’s ear and spoke, her voice full of smugness. “We can do it again another day.”

March 7th simply nodded, “Okay! Another day then!

Evernight chuckled at her impatience. “Yes, you’re correct. Another day, my dear, March 7th.” Then she closed the door to her dorm room.

What… What the hell just happened? How did her Halloween night go from a party to walking home with someone she had only met an hour prior? Well, she could worry about that another day. For now? She was going straight to bed
