Work Text:

As the sun settles below the horizon, Katherine slips quietly through the doors of the Salvatore mansion. Stefan turns, catching a fleeting glimpse of her figure. Crisp white angel wings rest on Katherine’s back that connect to a short lacy white camisole top. Squinting ever so slightly as he takes in her attire, Stefan whispers with a crack in his voice, “Elena?”

The smirk that played on Katherine’s face softens to a serene smile.

As her lips part, Stefan walks up to her, placing his hand on her cheek. While caressing her face, he says, “You’re here… and you're beautiful…”

Katherine’s lashes flutter over her doe eyes before she turns away from Stefan’s hand. “Try again…”

Stefan’s eyebrows crease. “I—” He starts, only to be interrupted by Katherine setting her finger over his lips as she shakes her head.

“That’s...” Katherine whispers. “Not. What. I. Meant.” she continues as she stunts her sentence word by word while dipping her finger in Stefan's mouth.

“Katherine,” he growls as he attempts to draw his face away from her, who grips onto his chin tightly with her thumb on one side and her pinky on the other.

She swirls her index and middle finger in his mouth, “Let’s not do this couples fight… even without all your friends around, alright Stefan?”

Stefan wraps his hand around Katherine’s, tugging it out of his mouth.

“What are you doing here?” Stefan hisses.

“You once said… that when you look at me you see an angel…”

“That was before I knew… before you compelled me after I found out you were a vampire,”

“Why can’t I be both?” Katherine’s lowers, too sultry for a plea, but too soft to taste deceit.

“You were never one to settle for one, were you?”

“No, Stefan… No”

Their gazes linger over each other. Hers focus on the depth in his eyes, lost in the possibilities within the moment. His slip between the lacing of Katherine's top, to her skirt, only to fall upon white garter belts that hug her thighs, that…

Both their gazes cut and bleed a reality beneath old scars that unveil a gap in their words, a truth in their lies, the lies they tell themselves and others.

“Come on, Stefan,” Katherine hums, “it’s just the two of us. Don’t make me push…”

“When have you not?” Stefan questions under his breath, almost too softly.

“Maybe not today… Your choice.”

Stefan pulls her waist up against him as he swiftly guides her to the leather couch. As her body crashes against the leather, her halo tilts, upending their worlds, roughening his movements. There is a quiet darkness in his eyes, boiling fervently with desire.

Katherine is barely settling on the couch when a pair of hands run along both of her thighs, fiddling with the white garter belts.

Katherine weaves her fingers between Stefan’s hair and pulls him closer.

“Don’t be shy, Stefan,” Katherine coos as she runs her tongue over his earlobe.

“Shouldn’t angels play fair?” Stefan huffs.

Upon hearing his dissatisfaction, Katherine smirks and replies, “What isn’t fair if we have no rules Stefan?”

Stefan grumbles in response, leading Katherine to loosen her grip in his hair from a tug to gentle strokes.

Now, combing her fingers through his hair, she whispers, “Fine… I’ll be your angel for today…”
