March 7th was sleeping in Evernight’s embrace. No one could harm her anymore as long as she was by her side. She watched over her like her life depended on it, which it did, they were inseparable.
Watching her cuter self explore the depths of Amphoreus for 97 excruciating days was nothing but painful to Evernight, she had to take action to ensure March’s journey with Astral Express will never end.
She later realized that it was not the best choice for either of them, or her precious companions. Astral Express’ era in Amphoreus was over and there was nothing for her to do anymore.
She could do nothing but watch March from the sidelines until she needed her again. She gazed at her counterpart, at everything that made March… well, March… She looked at her most precious memories in Belobog, Xianzhou Luofu, Penacony… She made many friends, she took so many photos.
Her journal told a story no words ever could: her journey with the Astral Express. Her moments of laughter, her tears, her endearing annoyment towards Stelle’s jokes, the scent of Himeko’s coffee, Welt’s advice and Pom-Pom’s lectures were all engraved in that journal.
She then looked at her lips she gently caressed with her thumb, her cheeks she held with so much love in her eyes, she couldn’t let anyone hurt her.
Before Evernight could think about her further, a blue pair of eyes were looking at her in return.
”Why are you looking at me like that?”, March 7th woke up.
”And why not, my dear?~ ♭”,
”Whatever, I wanted to spend time with you, it’s been a bit since we got out of Amphoreus… How are you doing, other ‘me’?”,
”Oh?~ Concerned about me?~♭”,
”So what if I am?”,
”Very cute of you, my dear. I’m happy to be by your side. ♭”
March’s cheeks turn red, knowing how much Evernight adores her.
