Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

The masks are off and the cards, played. Chaos was Sparkle’s second name, she only lived by that, she decided to infiltrate a whole new universe.

Vita accepted Sparkle’s invitation to join the Masked Fools and follow the path of Elation, after all, they were so similar to each other.

They were fooling around, pulling pranks on everyone, they didn’t take life or themselves seriously. Sparkle was bored of Sampo’s moral compass, she could never understand those social do’s, and don’t’s, those moral rules people put on themselves, she couldn’t seem to shirk it.

But with Vita, it was different, she could go all in, give in to whatever ideas she has with no moderation. They could go from playing cards together to faking one’s death. The rules were that there wasn’t a single rule either of them had to follow.

It was only natural that they started to date each other over time from spending such a long time together. It appeared to be romantic but none of them felt it, deep down, the simple thrill of being together animated them.

When couples would go to coffee shops to drink their very expensive drink, they would create a firework bomb and pretend it was a real bomb to cause panic. While two girls could be kissing bathed under the moonlight, they would be fighting endlessly until one gave up, those fights would usually end with one of them kissing the other from the adrenaline. Their lips locked as the kiss became longer and more intense, they kissed each other until they couldn’t breathe anymore and when it was over, they rested next to each other. They would play cards together to relax, of course, not respecting the rules of the game because why would they?

-”Did you enjoy yourself, my masked cutie?”, Vita playfully asked.

However, one painful reality lies: they came from different universes. One had to visit the other to be able to have this much fun.

-”That is an understatement right here, Birdie~ I was elated~ I’ll need to cut our playdate short, my dear, I do have unfinished business in my world, so lon-”

-”And you didn’t offer me to join you? How impolite of you, oh pretty goldfish~”
