"Viren!"
Viren looked around the docked ship, wondering where the familiar voice was coming from as he also watched his sister and crew load up supplies onto the deck.
Then as Viren turned to look behind him, he saw David swing off the rope, that was attatched to the birds nest at the top of the ship, into his arms.
Embracing the champion as flew from the rope into his arms like a bird.
Viren was almost knocked over by the sudden impact of his beloved but was able to regain his balance as he hugged David back, reciprocating the tight embrace he got trapped in as well, with a light blush appearing on his dark skinned cheeks.
David chuckled as he pulled his head away from the crook of Viren's shoulder to look at his face.
"Gods I missed you! I almost thought of getting off the ship and coming to find you! I thought you had forgotten about me, you handsome idiot!"
The retired thief scolded, placing both his hands on either side of Viren's face and squishing his cheeks in a very playful manner that the swords wielder was used to at this point after being together for so long.
A small yet playful smile grew from Viren's lips, finding David's exaggeration about being left on the ship alone for too long to be very amusing to him.
He had grown used to the many endearing jokes and tricks David played on him and the crew over the past 2 years, at times even partaking in them for the fun of it when he wasn't busy talking the council or helping his sister with something important on the ship or with the crew that consisted of friends who he considered family...
It was how the lovers spent time together when they weren't dealing with the corrupt phantoms that were sent their way.
"In what world would I ever forget about you, my beloved thief?"
Viren teased, placing his arms over David's shoulder and leaning his face closer towards the others.
David only rolled his eyes.
"One where you forget about me is one where you die!"
Viren could only laugh at David's response, he would never be able to forget David anywhere! As he knew the consequences that would come from that...
"I'm just messing around... I'm glad you're back..."
David murmured, gently bumping his forehead on his beloved champion.
"I missed you too, David..."
