Work Text:
Alan can tell that Yellow is livid from the moment he stomps into the animation window. The stick’s posture is tense, his arms waving wildly, and although Alan can’t hear (or see) him speaking, it’s clear that he’s shouting at Red and Green.
The other two sticks trail behind Yellow, postures loose and casual. They look – for lack of a better term – very smug.
Alan stops drawing, unsure what his reaction should be. Yellow marches over to the toolbar and snags the pencil tool, scribbling wildly on an empty corner of the canvas.
ALAN MAKE THEM STOP!!!
That’s…wow. Okay.
[what r they doing?]
THIS IS YOUR FAULT!!!!!
[Yellow, what r they doing??????]
Red says something, nodding his head towards Yellow, and Green’s shoulders shake in a chuckle. He gestures to Yellow, and whatever he says next clearly only makes Yellow madder.
THEY WONT STOP RHYMING.
MAKE THEM STOP.
ALAN!!!
[rhyming?]
LIKE THE MOVIE.
[what movie?]
THAT MOVIE. THE PRINCESS ONE. WITH THE PIRATE GUY.
Oh.
[oh]
Red laughs, a full-bodied movement. He snatches the pencil tool from Yellow and starts scribbling. Alan squints, trying to make sense of his handwriting. (Of all the sticks, Red has the worst penmanship by far.)
HE dozEnt likE it WHEn WE rhimE.
Green nods, stroking his chin, and takes the pencil tool from Red as the other stick offers it.
But we think it’s a fun time, he writes.
Yellow dives for Green, and Alan decides that he’s not cut out for this.
[Orange, plz come & make ur friends stop fighting]
[they’re tearing up my animation]
[and I also lowkey think that Yellow might be trying to strangle Green]
Orange’s sigh is so large that Alan can see it.
