Chapter Text
2009 Cullen Household.
Bella wasn't looking forward to her 18th birthday party that Alice had decided to throw her but she did promise it would only be the Cullens there so Bella agreed to it.
As Bella steps out of the car she knows that Alice means well.
“You didn't need to let Alice do this, you could have said no to her.” Edward says.
Bella looks at Edward and when has anyone said no to Alice.
Edward and Bella walk to the house and the door opens and Alice is standing there and she immediately pulls Bella into a hug.
After letting go Alice takes Bella's hand and they walk down the stairs and the rest of the family is there.
Bella knows that she needs to act happy but honestly she can't be bothered.
“Happy Birthday Bella.” Carlisle and Esme say.
“Thanks guys.” Bella says.
Alice comes over and she hands Bella her present and Bella thanks her.
Jasper is keeping his distance as he finds it hard to be around Bella as he still has a thirst for blood.
Bella opens her present but she stops as she cuts herself.
“Danm it I've got a paper cut.” Bella says.
The blood starts to pour from Bella's finger and before anyone can do anything that's when Jasper attacks Bella.
Bella is struggling with Jasper and he has this wild look in his eyes.
Emmett and Edward are trying to get Jasper off Bella.
Emmett and Edward manage to get Bella free but in doing so she was thrown across the room and she hit the book shelf.
Emmett gets Jasper out of the room and Carlisle goes and checks on Bella but he sees that she has blood pouring out of her stomach and she clearly has a broken arm.
Carlisle knows it's not good and he can also tell that Bella is close to death.
Edward comes over and he sees the damage that he has caused and he leaves.
Carlisle has a choice to make and he decides to help Bella.
Carlisle bites into Bella and he hopes he can save her.
Bella knows something is wrong as she feels cold and she is unable to keep her eyes open.
Carlisle waits for the venom to work but after a few minutes nothing happens and Carlisle looks to Alice and she looks through her visions to see what Bella's future is going to be like and she gets a blank image.
Bella opens her eyes and she is in a white room and she doesn't know why she is here.
“Hello my darling.” A voice says.
Bella turns around and she sees her grandma.
“I bet you didn't expect to see me?.” Grandma Swan asks.
“Where am I?.” Bella asks.
“You're in heaven my darling.” Grandma Swan says.
“I died, didn't I?.” Bella asks.
“Yes you did. I'm so sorry my darling.” Grandma Swan says.
Bella thinks about Charlie and how it will break him and she regrets not saying goodbye to him.
Grandma Swan looks at her granddaughter and she can see that she wishes that she could have said goodbye to her dad.
Just then a light appears and another woman appears.
“Hello Bella.” Great Grandma Swan says.
“Great Grandma, what are you doing here?.” Bella says.
“I'm here to make sure that you get to where you are meant to be.” Great Grandma Swan says.
“What do you mean?.” Bella asks.
The two women look at each other and they have a silent conversation.
Bella just stands there and she hates not getting told anything.
“If you two want to tell me what's going on then please feel free.” Bella says.
“Bella you were not supposed to die and it seems that time is against you as you have clearly been denied some gifts that you were supposed to have inherited by now.” Great Grandma Swan says.
“What do you mean?.” Bella asks.
The two women take Bella's hands and they tell her about their family and how they are not who they are but they are from royalty and that they are shape-shifters and that Bella should have been told this but it looks like someone or something is keeping her from knowing this.
Bella is shocked and she can't believe what she is hearing.
“Bella, you have 2 options.
You can go back in time and have your abilities and have full knowledge of what you are or you can stay here and choose to watch over your father.” Great Grandma Swan says.
Bella thinks and she already knows her answer.
“I'll go back.” Bella says.
“Blessed be my child.” Both women say.
Bella's vision starts to get blurry and she watches as both her Grandma and Great Grandma disappear.
Back at the Cullen house Carlisle is washing Bella and making her look presentable and he picks up his phone and calls Charlie.
“Hello Charlie.” Carlisle says.
“Carlisle why are you phoning me?.” Charlie asks.
“I need you to come to my house as something terrible has happened.” Carlisle says.
“I'm on my way.” Charlie says and he hangs up.
Carlisle goes over to Bella and shame hits him.
Esme comes into the room.
“We need to leave.” Esme says.
“I'm so sorry Bella, please forgive me.” Carlisle says.
The Cullens leave after that and they all go their separate ways and they promise to meet up in a few years time somewhere new.
Charlie drives to the Cullen's place and he can't help but have this feeling that something has happened to his daughter.
The car pulls up and Charlie gets out and he goes to the front door and bangs on it but no-one answers it so he bangs again and the same thing happens.
Charlie is starting to get worried so he breaks the door down and he enters and he looks around and sees the damage that has been done.
Charlie sees Bella lying on the floor and he runs to her and when he reaches her he lets out a massive scream.
Charlie's mother and grandmother watch what's happened and they know that Bella will be ok and time is now on the right path.
