Berdly shakes, tossing and turning in his rest. His breath, visual and freezing before he shoots up from his bed in a cold sweat. His head is pounding, his entire body is freezing cold despite being blanketed in… well a blanket. Berdly readjusts himself, calming down. The Bluebird getting out of his bed, he feels dizzy as he struggles to stand. Berdly stumbles his way out of the room, shivering as he opened the door to his way out. But… he doesn't recognize his surroundings, the walls and floor made of stonebrick. Was he… dreaming? Berdly hugs himself, getting colder and colder by the minute shivering and freezing every second. Berdly struggles to make his way down the stairs just outside of the hallway. His vision blurs, he attempts to adjust his glasses only to realize they aren't there. And yet… he could see clearly before. The freeze starts to take over, his breath more visual as he crumbles under his own weight. His vision blurring as he starts to lose consciousness, alone again. The last thing he saw before he woke up here was dear Noelle and Kris, leaving him there to freeze to death in solid ice. And here he is, again. His eyes heavy, nothing but a forgettable, little, bluebird.
“Berdly…? BERDLY!!” A paw lands on his freezing body, he's turned over. His eyes shoot open, “B-Berdly, what are you doing down here??” A pink-horned monster asks. “if you don't stay in bed, you'll never get better…” They scold. “Um… here…” The monster holds their hand out after sitting Berdly up. A flame fires up from out of their hand, Berdly warms up by a bit. Berdly utters, “W….where am I?” he's still shivering. “You're… um… that's not important right now.” The monster replies. “W…who are you? H-how did I g-get here…?” Berdly asks. His voice is shaky. “I'm Ralsei… um… Susie brought you here after she saw you in the hospital…” Ralsei answers, “When she brought you in you were frozen solid. I've… never seen anything like this before.” Berdly shudders, “W….w-why?” Berdly asks, still shivering. “She was worried about you…” Ralsei responds. “She thought you were going to… die.” Ralsei answers. Berdly shudders, feeling the cold wash over him. Ralsei quickly pulls Berdly a little closer after he puts away the flame to inspect him. “B-Berdly, are you… okay?” Seeing Ralsei's face so close, Berdly feels his heart skip a beat. “I… uh…..” Berdly trails off, “I'm… still c-cold.” Berdly leans into Ralsei a little, he can't help but feel a little warm like this. “Berdly… I… “ Ralsei begins, “Um… I think I better help you get back to bed.” Ralsei gets himself up, helping Berdly up as well. “Um… here…” Ralsei wraps his arm around Berdly, attempting to support him to keep him from falling. The two make it up the stairs and back into the room Berdly woke up in, Ralsei gently helps Berdly settle into the bed and under the blanket. Berdly still shivers, Ralsei makes sure he's comfortable, before he starts to make his way out. But just before he leaves… “Berdly, if you need anything… um…” Ralsei turns around. “Just… tell me, okay?” Ralsei begins to shut the door, “W-WAIT!!” Berdly coughs. Ralsei turns around, “Um… yes, Berdly?” he asks. “R-Ralsei… please…” Berdly stumbles back out of bed. “D-Don't… leave… please.” The Bluebird clings to Ralsei, “I-I… don't want to be… alone.” The Bluebird begins to feel weak again. “P-please… Ralsei… j…just stay.” he utters. “I…” Ralsei begins, before stopping. Berdly passes out, Ralsei pauses for a second. The Prince looks to the left and then the right before leaning down to pull Berdly up. Ralsei closes the door and gently lies Berdly down on the bed again, “I-Is it… wrong to…” he thinks to himself before Ralsei gets in the bed himself. He can't let Berdly feel so alone, freezing and sick like this. He gently wraps himself around Berdly, keeping him warm and cozy. “It's… okay, Berdly.” Ralsei pulls Berdly in tighter. “I-I… won't let you stay here all alone.” Ralsei says to himself. “I'm here…” Berdly wraps his own arms around Ralsei before they both pass out in eachother's arms.
