The rest of the members of The Dawn already had full schedules, and unable to spend time with them, he had to settle for anything else. Sadly, Joo Woosung happened to be free for Christmas and ended up hanging out with him. Hoyun doesn't know how it happened, but it did. And so here he was, walking along a snow filled street alongside a heavily covered man in a near-deserted street. Despite all he was wearing, he still felt himself shivering, different to the man beside who seemed to shift in his clothes, obviously warm.
"I wish I could hang out with anyone but you." Hoyun finally spoke after minutes of silence, his feeble insult only prompting a smile. "Can't believe I was ditched like this."
"You were left, I just didn't wanna hang around Black Call for today."
"And you chose to stay with me?" Hoyun raised a single eyebrow, casting a sidelong glance to Woosung, and wishing he didn't have to wear this facemask because he really wished he could atleast breathe on his own hands.
"... You're really stupid sometimes." Was all the man spoke in response, his smile gaining an emotion Hoyun considered might've been self-deprecating, before realising who the person was and discarding the idea.
"Where are we going anyways?"
"Don't know."
"You're the one who asked me out and you don't even know where we're going?"
"You agreed to go out with me without even learning where we're going?"
Hoyun accepted defeat, too cold and numb to even think of a further retort as he sighed, mumbling a swear under his breath and speeding his steps. Maybe he'd warm up if he walked faster, but he still glanced to the side to make sure Woosung was keeping up, not that the man would struggle with that. Sure to expectations, the man didn't seem to face difficulty in the slightest, matching Hoyun's pace so their feet crunched the snow at the exact same time.
"It's so cold." He finally let himself speak again, after minutes of silent walking, rubbing his hands together in a feeble attempt as Woosung stopped, prompting the other to pause, slightly ahead. "What?"
"I thought it was quite hot." Woosung commented, making a show of his hands, and the fact he hadn't worn any gloves on.
"Of course you'd think that."
"Want me to warm you up?" The man continued, seemingly ignoring the jab with a smile and stepping closer to Hoyun, closing the distance between. "I thought I needed something to cool down anyways."
He didn't wait for a response, taking Hoyun's hands in his and removing his gloves quietly. Strangely, Hoyun didn't stop him, flinching at how warm Woosung's hands were.
"What are you, a walking heater?" He murmured, letting the man's hands envelop his as he stared quietly, loosening slightly at the harmless touch. He hadn't even realised how tense he was until that moment.
"Is your face cold too?" Woosung spoke after a moment, Hoyun glanced up to meet the cryptic gaze. The idol was usually easy to guess, but in the moment, Hoyun found himself too confused.
"Obviously, this face mask does shit all." He spoke, startling when he felt Woosung remove his mask, and it was only then he realised that the other man had already taken his off. So much for following rules. Those same hands cupped his cheeks, annoyingly comforting.
He decided for a moment to let down his guard, instinctively leaning into the warmth, even if he felt hellishly embarrassed by it. He was cold enough not to care, and just hoped Woosung wouldn't use it as some sort of blackmail later. Instead, he yawned slightly, eyes closing.
Despite all this, he was still surprised when lips closed in on his, and his eyes flickered open for a moment, hands now resting against Joo Woosung's chest, pressing him away despite lacking the actual desire. Which was why the man leaned further in, lips opening and tongue pressing at Hoyun's lips. As if Hoyun didn't know how to kiss. Fuck that, he was the best kisser. He knew well how that all went. But still, Hoyun was too confused to even think of showing off in the moment, so his lips simply parted to let whatever the fuck continued to happen.
Well, the plan was to warm up, and Hoyun felt plenty warm in that moment. Mainly from fluster. Eventually, he found the sense to blink his eyes shut and stop pushing away Woosung with the force of a soft blanket.
By the time they parted, Hoyun was wondering the motive behind it.
"Are you still cold?" Woosung asked, the smile on his lips too obvious to be mistaken. Hoyun blinked, looking to the side in contemplation.
"Yeah." He mumbled after a long moment.
