Chan was always a "bro" for Felix. Chan always said it. And Felix accepted the rules of that stupid game where, they both knew it, they would fail.
Because obviously, Chan was in love with Felix. And Felix was in love with Chan.
They’d played it for so many years until Chan gave up.
One day, he just came to Felix and looked him in the eye.
“Lix,” he whispered.
And Felix immediately knew that everything had changed at that moment.
Chan touched Lix’s hand but Felix stopped him.
“Do you want it in the ‘Bros’ way’? Or the ‘Friends’ way? Or–”
“Or,” Chan whispered, gulping, staring into Lix’s eyes intensely.
Lix smiled and interlaced their fingers.
“Ok then,” he whispered.
And Chan’s heart skipped a beat.
