Try me, Try me
try me, Try me
Darling tell me I need you
Stevie looked beautiful. Stood there in the Ivory colored detailed suit. His eyes sparkled and shine in the room like the sun. Soft and luxury the envelope stood in Eddie’s hand. The memories couldn’t help but come back to him.
Nineteen year old metalhead cuddled up near the light brown-haired boy. Eddie’s arm wrapped gently around his waist, as he trails soft kisses down his neck. Stevie couldn’t help but to giggle at the action and loved every moment of it. The universe called and had plans for them. But maybe does plan couldn’t come about.
He read the lines
Stevie invites you Eddie Munson to his and Liam’s annual wedding.
He felt his chest crush and cry. Like someone dropped a metal steel on him and left him to die in pain.
Liam.
Ole Liam.
The lastest husband
Saying his name made Eddie breath hitch. Maybe because the whole situation was unreal. Or maybe because he couldn’t believe it just yet. Wouldn’t allow himself to believe. Not ever.
Reality struck him like a bell.
When they were young and dumb, Eddie had felt like world was in his hands. He craved love. The love that created ugly scars but cherished beautiful moments. He couldn’t ask for anything better than Steve. Stevie. His only love. When his withdrawals would create ugly moments, he stayed. When Eddie would say things he knows he would regret come early morning, he stayed. Up until he couldn’t take anymore.
He was treasure.
He was an angel in light, trying to bring the darkness out of hiding.
He was Home.
Eddie was the devil.
He was a wolf in sheep’s clothing asking to be set free.
He was Hell.
The night Stevie announced he was pregnant with their beautiful twins—Eddie’s heart sank. He couldn’t believe it. A dad? In what world was Eddie Munson fit to be a dad. He could barely take care of himself. The words I’m pregnant, rung in Eddie ears like a siren. Different possibilities came into his head. What if I fuck this up? What if they grow up to hate me? How do I take care of them? But most of all, will I turn up like Al munson?.
One of his worst fears. Eddie remembers countless of nights screaming at the sky above to remove his father from his life. Just to take him out. He would scream into his pillow until his voice becomes hoarse. He would beg the gods to do him this one favor. Eddie hated Al. And maybe that’s not normal to hate your father but Eddie couldn’t stand him. He was the reason for his reputation in hawkins. Countless of ugly comments from adults and even kids whose parents warned him about his father. And lastly about him. So yeah to say he didn’t like Al was understatement. And maybe it’s not his fault because he has no control over what parents tell their kids. But the harassment and plethora of abuse Al has caused towards Eddie has given him a definite reason to hate him.
Try me, Try me,
Try me, Try me
And your love will always be true
Oh, I need you, I need you
So you could see how he would be scared to end up like him.
Eddie’s finger took over the envelope until the delicate paper slips through his fingers onto the floor.
Because what this meant for Eddie was more than anything he could possibly imagine.
The devastating thought that Stevie has forgiven him.
He wasn’t sure if he deserved it or not. And that’s what haunted him.
Remembering the message he received earlier he thought about it.
“It’s your decision to come, I just would want you here. Maybe we can set ourselves free.”
The message rang his phone on a damp night. Confused and delighted he was wondering what he could possibly be talking about. Seems like he finally got his answer.
Eddie swallowed the lump in his throat and picks up his phone. He taps the screen to be showcased of a picture of the twins. Hailey and Jacob. He smiles softly seeing a reminder of his babies. He wouldn’t trade them for the world. He goes to his instagram and opens. Immediately plastered by multiple notifications. From fans, big industry elites, and friends. Years ago he presumed his rockstar career. He could never imagine how the outcome would be and even be considered a legend. As much cons it comes with, he wouldn’t give away being able to provide for his family for nothing.
Eddie sighs and texts back.
“I’m always here for you. You know that. Im happy for you”
He presses send adding salt to the wound
“I’ll be there, save me a seat and cheesecake!”
Stevie reacts to the message with a slight laughing emoji. Eddie puts on a sad small smile. And sighs. The tears begin to well up in his eyes. He quickly wipes his eyes and stretches.
Walk with me, Walk with me,
talk with me, Talk with me
I want you to stop my heart from crying
Walk with me, Walk with me), talk with me Talk with me
And your love stops my heart from dying
Oh, I need you, I need you, hoo, hoo

“Eddie!” Stevie giggled as Eddie blew raspberries in Steve’s stomach. Eddie’s room stunk of cigarettes and old beer bottles that were plastered by the window. The soft song of ‘Try me’ By James Brown filled the room while nothing but Steve’s giggles rung like a siren.
“Whaaat, I’m just eating you baby, you’re so tasty” Eddie said smiling. He fake eats at Steve stomach while Steve lets out another corse of giggles.
“I’m not food you Idiot!” He smiles, tears starts to form in his eyes. “Stop! I c-c-can’t breathe baby!” He says while trying to swat Eddie away.
“Okay, okay I’m sorry” Eddie laughs again and leans down to plant a delicate kiss upon Stevie’s lips. Their lips move together in rhythm and love. Stevie smiles into the kiss and brings both of his hands towards Eddie’s face.
Eddie breaks the kiss gently and smiles. He rubs his nose against Stevie soaking in his aroma and scent.
“And you,” Eddie drags his face down towards Steve’s belly and kisses it gently.
“Can’t wait to meet the both of you” He says
Stevie smiles as tears begin to well up in his eyes. To say this pregnancy has been the hardest would be an understatement. Growing up as omega and being told you wouldn’t be able to have kids, to now being pregnant. Was a blessing. When he found out he couldn’t help being scared. But s small part of him always wanted to be a mother. Bringing a life into this world and naturing them to the fullest. Something his parents failed to do. He craved it.
“My hope,” Eddie kisses the middle of his stomach. “My aspiration,” He kisses the left side of his belly. “My world,” He finally kisses the right side.
“You’re so cheesy,” Stevie says while smiling. He wipes the tears that have fallen from his eyes and huffs.
“Shut up,” Eddie laughs.
Stevie sighs and lands his gaze towards Eddie beautiful mocha eyes. He could stare at them all day if it were a job. And wouldn’t get tired of it.
“I’m only kidding, I love when you speak like this. I want these memories to be with you forever” Stevie says, he brings both of his hands towards Eddie’s face, and holds them gently.
“You’re speaking as if you’re not stuck with me forever baby,” Eddie says as he plants a gentle kiss under his chin.
“I couldn’t see myself without you” Stevie says softly. He kisses Eddie’s forehead and moves to the side of the bed where the lamp is.
“The song stopped, mind playing another one for me” Steve says.
Eddie smiles and moves to get up. He grabs the vinyl from off of the dusty
brown-colored shelf, and places it on the record player.
‘My Sweet Lord’ By George Harrison filled the room.
Eddie moves to help Stevie turn the lamp off and heads back to the bed. He scoots up behind him and drags his arm around his waist. Stevie gently smiles and laces their hands together and lets out a relief.
“You know you scare me,” Eddie said between the soft song that sung in the room.
“What do you mean” Stevie ask, he rubs Eddie arm and waits patiently on his to elaborate on what he means.
“You make me want to be better, be something. And I don’t know if I’m destined for that something.” Eddie says.
Stevie turns his head and gently caresses Eddie cheek. “You are to me,” He says.
“And always will be,”

Need you, need you
Need you, need you
The reception music boomed from the inside. White-colored decorations plastered on the outside of the building. Nothing but laughs and greeting filled the air. Eddie stood outside of the building cigarette in hand, moving back-and-forth.
That’s how Stevie finds him.
His love
He slips through the door and stares at Eddie. He moves closer and holds out his hand knowing that Eddie already knows what he means.
Eddie smiles and takes out a cigarette from his pocket, hands it steve and lights it. They stare out into the night sky. The moon looks beautiful tonight, Eddie thinks. If only mother nature could grant Eddie one last wish, oh how he would cherish it with his being.
Stevie blows smoke from his lips. “So you came,” He says
“Yeah,” Eddie says. “I came,” He says finally.
He exhales smoke from his nose and turns his gaze towards Stevie. “Congratulations,” He says.
“Thank you, It wasn’t easy getting into this suit. Almost went with my dress instead.” He says. Eddie knows he could look beautiful in anything. Always look beautiful. He takes his chance.
“You look beautiful,” Eddie says.
Stevie turns to him and gives a small smile and, his dimples reveal themselves and blesses Eddie’s spirit.
“I didn’t do this to humiliate you” Stevie says. His voice was softer than a memory. A memory Eddie locked in his heart with a key. A memory that Eddie craved and cherished everyday. A memory that caused infinite grief and suffering to Eddie daily.
“I just want us to have closure,” He says.
Eddie swallowed, throat tight and squeezing.
“I know, your intentions would never be that” Eddie says. “I know you,” He says finally. He sways foot-to-foot and closes his eyes.
“Do you?” Stevie says looking at him with desperate eyes. God those eyes. How could Eddie be so stupid.
Silence filled the cool night air, and the only sound you could be able to hear is the wind singing, and the faint sound of laughs from inside the reception.
“I miss you,” Stevie says. Eddie opens his eyes and moves his gaze towards Stevie. “I do, but I always wanted to show you I did it.” He says.
Eddie glances at him with a small smile. So smile you almost can miss it.
“You did,” Eddie says. “And I’m so fucking proud of you,” Eddie says desperately.
“And I know you can too,”
“Don’t say that that.”
“I mean every word I say to you” Stevie says. He glances back towards the moon that shines above them. Almost like it’s spectating. “Every single one,”
Eddie stared at him, almost like he was in a trance. Stevie looked good in the moonlight. Older but still had a young presence towards him like no other.
Eddie kicked his boots against the rough concrete.
“I’m sorry baby,” Eddie says as he glances towards Steve. Steve could see the tears that fallen from Eddie’s eyes, gently onto his cheek.
“No,” Stevie says. “Don’t do this to me Eddie” Stevie turns to head towards the door, but Eddie stops him, grabbing his arm before he could depart away.
“No, I have to this,” Eddie says finally. “I ruined the best parts of us and I’m sorry. I never took you for granted baby. I cherished every moment and injected it into my brain. I don’t know what I would be without you.”
Stevie’s eyes watered and he huffs a sigh. He grabs Eddie’s cheeks and holds them gently. Eddie gets a sense of nostalgia from moments like these where Steve would hold his cheek during his withdrawal. Oh how he missed it.
“You were the first person who ever truly loved me,” Stevie says. “And I will always cherish that in my heart forever.” He says.
“You helped me bring two beautiful beings into this earth and I don’t know how I could thank you enough,” He replied. “But I don’t think our stars were meant to align.”
Eddie felt his chest cave in. Like a bullet hit him out of no where, and he was left with nothing but the pain of suffering.
It was closure
And Eddie knew it was.
The softest goodbye he’d ever heard.
“You get to make your outcome now, no one else.” Stevie says as he gives a soft sad smile and continues to rub Eddie’s cheek. “Don’t let this be the end. If you’re lost you can look, and I’ll always be there.” Stevie says finally.
Eddie nods his head slowly. Tears continue to form in his eyes. He can’t bring up the courage to form any words even though this could be his last time talking to Stevie. His throat just suffocates.
Stevie drops his hands from his cheeks and turns to walk away. He stops in the middle of the street, back turnt towards Eddie, face forwards towards warmth.
“Maybe in another life we could be” He says. After his final words he heads into the reception, leaving Eddie with nothing but the memory of misery.
Eddie lied. He would give away the title of being a legend if it meant he could have his baby back.
And for the first time in years.
Eddie cried.
And your love stops my heart from dying
Oh, I need you.
