Chapter Text
7pm, Alola;
"Ahh, what a beautiful night, don't you agree, Meowth?" asked Sabine Cheng.
"Murrpp!!!"
"Oh, is Marinette still asleep? She must have been pretty tired from the travel from Kalos the here. Would you please go wake her up for me Meowth?"
"Meonn"
And so the little Meowth went to their trainer's kid room, and jumping on the bed, woke her and her own Pokemon, Pipper, an shiny phantump, up as their trainer has asked.
"Ahh, good evening Meowth. Thank you for waking us up" said Marinette, as she gave them a pat on the head, and went to pick her clothes for the day.
"Murrppp"
After she and her Pokemon got ready -Pipper deciding for a pink bow and her a with and pink sundress- they went to the kitchen, where her mom has laid dinner out in the table, and apparently, finished unpacking while she was asleep.
"Goood evening mom. Did you unpack without me?"
"Oh dear, good evening" said Sabine, turning to give Marinette a kiss. " you were so tired, I did not fell like waking you and Pipper up."
"Ohh mom, it is done now anyway. Let's have dinner, and then maybe go explore the town?"
"Ahh, I think I will leave exploring for another day dear. You and Pipper can go though."
Nodding, Marinette agreed. And, after eating with her mom, she got her shoes on and was about to head out when there was a knock in their door.
As she opened it, she saw her distant cousin, bridgette, with her lab assistant, an blond boy. They looked very out of breath, and with worry, she rushed them in to the couch, asking what had happened.
"Well, you see Marinette, lately there has been some strange things happening. Like totem Pokemon going rampage and attacking everything in their paths, as well as Pokemon suddenly becoming huge like the totems, but with red eyes."
"Pokemon growing bigger with red eyes? That sounds like an Alpha Pokemon, like the ones from Kalos….." said Marinette, bringing two cups of water to them.
"Alpha Pokemon? How does that work?" asked Adrien, "also, nice to finally meet you, my name is Adrien"
"It is nice to meet you too Adrien, my name is Marinette. And this is Pipper, my first Pokemon, and best friend"
"And for the Alpha Pokemon, they are essentially, stronger than average Pokemon. And way more violent, as they often are picking fights to get even more stronger, and becoming bigger as they do so. They are somewhat common in Kalos. A few even becoming mega evolved from too much power. Those tend to be the most dangerous…"
"Hmmm, that may be what has been happening. Although we did not hear of any mega evolving on their own, they have been pretty violent..." said bridgette, looking pensive, "well, it is good that you are here now. Your knowledge about that might be just what we need to solve this mystery!"
"Well, if we are going to investigate them, why don't I show you guys Tikki then?" said Marinette, moving to go outside and gesturing for them to follow her.
"Who is Tikki?" asked both, following her out to the front of the house.
Without saying a word, Marinette got a healball out of her purse, and let the Pokemon out, " bridgette and Adrien, meet Tikki, the Hisuian Zoroark."
In front of the two, a Pokemon they had never seen before. Bigger than any normal Zoroark they have ever seen, with white and red fur, looking at them with bloody red eyes.
"Woahhhh, what kinda of Zoroark is this!??" asked Adrien, looking a bit scared.
"This is an Alpha Hisuian Zoroark. They were almost extinct long ago, with a few surviving, but effort has been made so that the variant could reestablish themselves." said Marinette, coming closer to the Zoroark and hugging them, "I caught Tikki when traveling to Unova, when she was an Alpha Zorua going rampage in the forest. Since then, she has been one of the best Pokemons I could ask for, keeping me and Pipper safe in our adventures."
The Zoroark hugged her back, but keep an eye on them, wary of the new humans, and ready to protect her trainer.
"This is incredible. I had heard of them before, but seeing one, and an Alpha no less in person, is another thing completely" bridgette said, eyes lit up with joy and excitement. "This will be perfect for helping understand what may be happening here in Alola!!!"
"We will be happy to help, right Tikki?" Marinette said, and despite her distrust, Tikki agreed. If her trainer trusted these humans, she would as well.
After talking a bit more with her cousin and Adrien, and convincing them to stay the night, they all went to sleep.
