Cravings

Summary:

A NetJJ in Tokyo Omegaverse AU wherein JJ is craving something sweeter than the strawberry cake he was just craving a while ago.

OR

JJ had already brightened up—his mood swinging like a pendulum. “Hi, everyone!” he chirped, cheeks flushed. “You’re just in time!”

Net, still half-worried, half-amused, stayed beside him, keeping an arm protectively around JJ’s waist.

But then, JJ’s expression changed. His gaze immediately found Zee and Max, lingering too long. A mischievous glint slowly spreading in his eyes.

"Baby, what’s wrong?" Net asked, sensing the shift in energy.

JJ blinked slowly, then turned his gaze to Max... then to the plate of strawberry shortcake he was just craving, a while ago.

Suddenly, his cravings swerved in a whole new direction.

“P’Zee,” JJ started sweetly with a curious squint. “I wanna see you feed P’Max some dessert.”

Work Text:

A shiny, innocent-looking slice of strawberry shortcake sitting right there on the table—mocking JJ’s every sense of restraint

The poor omega sat across the table, one hand rubbing the faint curve of his belly as if comforting the two little lives growing inside. His eyes were glued to that strawberry shortcake like a magnet. The whipped cream looked too perfect, the strawberries too red, the sponge cake too fluffy. Honestly, it was unfair.

Net noticed, of course he did. His mate’s cravings had become a predictably unpredictable part of their daily life since JJ entered the first trimester of his pregnancy. If JJ wasn’t craving something sweet, he was craving something salty, or sour, or—on one memorable morning—a strange combination of instant noodles with chocolate milk. And just before they went to japan, he was craving Thai mango sticky rice. Sounds normal right? Except he wanted the most sour green mango to go with the sweet sticky rice. The cravings were endless. And deadly cute.

“Teerak,” Net said softly, breaking the silence. “You remember what the doctor said, right?”

JJ turned to him with wide, glassy eyes. “P'Net,” he whined, voice already trembling. “It’s just cake. One small bite.”

Net reached out and brushed a strand of JJ’s hair behind his ear.

"P'Net!" JJ shook his whole body dramatically, whining at his husband like a toddler denied candy, but Net stood firm like a coconut tree in a storm.

"Nope. Not working." His lover replied flatly, arms crossed, lips pressed in a serious line.

"But P'Net! Our babies wants it! Have some sympathy, will ya?"

JJ’s eyes widened into those deadly doe eyes—the ones that usually got him whatever he wanted. But Net stayed strong. He shook his head.

"Not even a bite?" JJ pouted.

“You know I want to give it to you,” he said gently. “But the doctor said too much sugar isn’t good for the pups. And you've already had too much sweets today. We have to be careful, my love.”

JJ blinked. Once. Twice. And then his lip started to tremble.

Oh no.

Net’s calm facade crumbled. “Teerak, don’t—oh no, no, no, please don’t cry—”

It was too late. JJ’s emotions had been on a rollercoaster ever since the pregnancy began. A mere photo of Chuchu and Dollar wearing a hat could make him sob for ten minutes. And now, hearing that his sweet craving could somehow “harm” their pups? His mind twisted that into the worst scenario possible.

“They’re gonna hate me,” JJ hiccuped, voice breaking. “I’m already a bad parent and they’re not even born yet!”

Net panicked, looking around like he could find help—but they were in a private restaurant room, thankfully booked in advance for moments like this.

“Teerak,” he said quickly, scooting closer. “No, no, no one hates you, okay? You’re the best parent. The best! You’re their mama bunny, remember?”

JJ sniffled, not convinced. His shoulders trembled, eyes brimming with tears. “But… but the cake looks so happy, P’Net. It’s like it wants me to eat it!”

"Sorry, love—"

"No, you're not! You were gonna sit there and eat a slice of cake infront of me and our unborn pups like some kind of villain you are. How dare u, P'Net..." JJ dramatically let out a sob. "How dare you..."

At this point, Net wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. He took a deep breath, letting his soothing pheromones fill the air, wrapping JJ in a calm warmth. Slowly, the omega’s sobs turned into quiet sniffles as he leaned his head against Net’s shoulders, clinging into his arms.

“There we go,” Net whispered, stroking his back. “Breathe, teerak. Our pups are fine. You’re fine. You're not a bad parent either for wanting a bite, but everything has limitations, my love..."

JJ nodded weakly, clinging tighter. His voice came out muffled against Net’s shirt. “I just… wanted a little bite.”

“I know.” Net kissed the top of his head. “Maybe later, we can share a healthier version, hmm? I’ll find one the doctor will approve.”

JJ sniffled again, softer this time. “Promise?”

“Promise.”

"I'm sorry for crying over some dessert, dada. It's just our babies really wanted some..." JJ's voice low and apologetic as he fidget with his fingers, head still leaning on the Alpha's shoulder.

"I'm sorry too, teerak, for not letting you have some. As much as i wanted to, but i want to take care of you and our pups properly. I don't want to make things a lot more harder for you, baby." Net said softly and grabbed the omega's fidgeting hands to place a kiss on it, making JJ smile at the gesture.

It's been years since they've been in a relationship, but the Alpha doesn't fail to make his heart beat from everything he does.

"Thank you, Dada." JJ whispered sweetly, pressing a kiss on the older's cheek.

For a few minutes, they stayed like that—wrapped in quiet comfort. Net could feel JJ’s breathing even out, his little body relaxing against him, the faint sound of music outside the private room fading into the background.

And then came a knock.

Ker’s voice carried through the door. “Can we come in? We brought the others!” pertaining to Tee and Por.

Before Net could answer, JJ was already sitting up, wiping his tears and fixing his hair like he hadn’t just cried over cake. “Yes! Come in!”

The door slid open, revealing Mae Ker, Max, Zee, Tee, and Por. The moment they stepped in, they were greted by the adorable sight of JJ wrapped around Net like a baby sloth, also the Alpha's soothing pheromone all over the place.

"Married couples..."

P'Ker sighed with a fond smile and discreetly took a photo before they noticed. Her chaotic sons were just too cute to ignore.

Tee instinctively reached out to cover Por’s nose.

“Bro, don’t,” he muttered. “You’ll smell another alpha’s pheromones. It’s dangerous.”

Por smacked his hand away with a laugh. “You act like I’ll suddenly switch mates just because I breathe.”

Ker rolled her eyes. “Boys, please. Not here.”

Meanwhile, JJ had already brightened up—his mood swinging like a pendulum.

Both the older Alphas froze on the spot.

Around them, the rest of the group was seconds away from bursting into laughter, trying to keep it together. JJ, however, looked dead serious. Like this was a sacred ritual passed down from generations.

Zee blinked. “Huh?”

Net who was silently sipping on his green tea, nearly choked on his drink.

JJ's head immediately snapped towards his husband. "Are you laughing, P'Net?" He pouted. "This is what our baby wants."

That only made Net snort out loud, pressing his fist to his mouth in a desperate attempt to stay composed. He looked over at Max and Zee, shrugged, and said with as much solemnity as he could manage.

“You heard the boss, boys.” He said, smirking at their faces. He was enjoying this a little too much, along with the others.

“Have some mercy on the pregnant, P’Max,” Teetee added helpfully, grinning as Zee and Max turned toward him with identical expressions of pure betrayal.

It was very clear that everyone else was thoroughly enjoying this moment.

Zee sighed. Max rubbed his temples like he was bracing for emotional turbulence, but at the same time he was enjoying the visible torment displayed on his best friend's face.

Meanwhile, JJ was getting impatient. His arms were crossed, bump slightly puffed forward, tapping one foot like a bunny mom about to call the manager.

“P’Zee. P’Max,” he said sternly, “you two are going to be the godfathers of our babies. This is a sacred duty. This cake bonding is step one.”

Zee raised an eyebrow. “I thought the sacred duty involved... gifts and spiritual guidance?”

"That too,” JJ sniffed. “But your godsons wants to see this. Do you not want to?"

Net grinned then faced Zee and Max with mock sadness "Are you even worthy of becoming godfathers?"

Ker and TeePor were enjoying this show a little too much, they weren't even hiding their phones to record this moment anymore.

JJ turned back to the two reluctant men with eyes full of dramatic expectation.

Zee looked at Max.

Max looked at Zee.

They both looked at the cake. And silently, they accepted their fate.

JJ sat up straight, eyes gleaming with excitement, as the Alphas reluctantly positioned themselves right in front of him and Net. He watched them closely, leaning forward with so much anticipation that he even opened his mouth slightly—as if he, too, were about to take a bite of the cake.

Zee picked up the plate with the cake like it was a fragile bomb and shakily grabbed the spoon. His hand trembled with the weight of both the dessert and his dignity. But alas, he had a duty to fulfill. This was the sacred path of a godfather now.

Max, noticing his friend's visible discomfort, leaned in just enough to make things worse. Their faces were suddenly way too close, and he stared directly into Zee’s soul with that little teasing smile.

Zee blinked at him slowly.

“I’m going to murder you after this,” he muttered under his breath.

JJ, still locked in with laser focus, was absolutely living. Net had his arms wrapped around JJ’s waist, tryingand failing not to laugh. But JJ’s warning glares were (barely)keeping him in check.

Zee, defeated and filled with dread, finally moved the spoon toward Max’s mouth. It entered slowly, like a painfully romantic scene from a budget romance drama.

Everyone held their breath.

The pregnant omega gasped so dramatically it echoed off the restaurant walls.

“Oh God…” Max muttered as he chewed.

“That’s... beautiful,” JJ whispered, placing a hand over his chest as if moved to tears.

That was the final straw. Everyone except Max and Zee burst out laughing.

“P’Net! I told you not to laugh!” JJ snapped, offended on behalf of his own emotional investment. “Learn to appreciate art, will ya?”

“I—I’m sorr—PUAHAHAHAHAHA!” Net completely lost it.

JJ shook his head in disappointment before turning his sharp bunny eyes back to the pair.

“P’Zee,” he said seriously, “P’Max has cake on his lips.”

Zee froze.

“Yes…?” he replied cautiously, already predicting what fresh torment was coming his way.

“Wipe it?” JJ said, adding a hopeful ":>" face that only made it worse.

Zee hesitated, eyes darting to Max—who now looked smug as hell and had zero intention of helping. He was clearly enjoying every second of other's suffering.

“Come on, Zee,” Ker chimed in, phone still recording. “This is just like fanservice!”

“This isn’t fanservice, Mae,” JJ corrected, dramatically placing a hand on his belly. “This is godson service.”

Zee sighed deeply. Mentally. Spiritually. Entirely.

All this... for the honor of being a great godfather. And yet, somehow, this didn’t even feel like the worst thing JJ would ask of them before the baby arrived.

Not by a long shot.

The chaos faded into laughter and chatter, and eventually, their meal finished peacefully. With JJ’s cravings satisfied by ZeeMax's "godson service" and a doctor-approved dessert, the group decided to explore Tokyo together.

The city streets were alive with energy—the buzz of people, the scent of street food wafting through the cool evening air. JJ walked beside Net, their hands intertwined, his other hand resting protectively over his belly.

Every few steps, Net glanced down at him. “Are you okay, teerak? Your back isn’t hurting?”

JJ smiled. “A little. But it’s fine. I can still walk.”

“We can rest for a while,” Net offered, worried.

JJ shook his head, his bunny-like ears (figuratively speaking) perking up. “No, no! We’re in Tokyo, Phi. Let’s make the most of it. When my tummy gets bigger, we won’t be able to move around and travel much anymore.”

Net sighed, torn between wanting to spoil him and wanting to wrap him in bubble wrap. “Alright. But if you feel tired, you tell me, okay?”

“Yes, hubby,” JJ said obediently, though there was a mischievous sparkle in his eyes that made Net suspicious.

The group strolled together—Por taking pictures, Tee carrying the shopping bags, Ker leading them through alleyways filled with street stalls. JJ stopped every now and then to admire something cute: a tiny pair of cat plushie that reminded him of Chuchu and Dollar, a cat-themed café, or a bakery display that made Net tighten his hold around him before the craving tears could come back.

They laughed, chatted, and took photos until the sun dipped behind the buildings. By then, JJ was clearly tired, his steps slowing down, hands are occasionally caressing his own back.

“Alright, that’s enough for today,” Net said firmly. “We’ll have dinner in our room, Mae. You all go enjoy yourselves.”

"You want us to buy you anything, P'Ju?" Por said, wanting to take care of the older omega.

JJ was about to answer but Net chimed in just in time before his beloved could request something again. "Don't worry, nong. I'll handle it."

Por nodded in response, immediately understanding the older's reason and worry for the pregnant omega. He proceeded to hug JJ, also rubbing his growing tummy as a goodbye before clinging back to Tee's arms. The others nodded, waving goodbye as the couple headed back to their hotel.

JJ looked like he wanted to protest, but one look at Net’s worried expression made him soften.

“Okay, hubby,” he said quietly. “We’ll eat in the room.”

Net smiled, pressing a kiss to his forehead. “Good bunny.”

When they finally reached their suite, Net guided JJ toward their shared bedroom. The hotel was elegant and quiet, the large windows showing a breathtaking night view of Tokyo’s skyline. Net helped JJ sit on the edge of the bed, brushing his hair gently.

“I’ll call the receptionist to order food, okay?” Net said. “You stay here and rest.”

JJ nodded, smiling softly. “Okay, P’Net.”

The moment the older alpha left the room, however, JJ’s mood shifted again. His nesting instincts—something that had been itching at him for days—suddenly flared up. He looked around their room, at the bed, at their luggage, and thought, "It doesn’t feel like home yet."

And if it didn’t feel like home, how could his mate and pups be comfortable?

With a determined nod, JJ got up and started unpacking one of the extra luggage bags he had brought—filled entirely with clothes and blankets from their shared home. Their scents—his soft, sweet one mixed with Net’s warm coconut one—immediately filled the air, making JJ’s heart flutter.

He started arranging everything on the bed, layering shirts, hoodies, and blankets in a circle. He hummed softly as he worked, folding and fluffing, occasionally stopping to sniff the fabrics and smile to himself. It took a few minutes, but soon he had created a perfect, cozy nest that radiated comfort.

Satisfied, JJ climbed into it and let himself sink into the soft pile of scents and warmth. He felt safe. Loved. At peace.

But one thing was missing.

“Alpha…” he called softly.

Outside, Net was just finishing his call with the receptionist when he heard that. The sound of JJ’s voice—soft, needy, full of warmth—made him drop everything and hurry back inside.

When he opened the door, he froze.

There, on the bed, was his omega, glowing under the warm hotel light, surrounded by a perfectly built nest made from their clothes and blankets. JJ looked up at him with shy pride.

“Do you like it?” he asked softly.

Net’s chest tightened with affection. He approached slowly, sitting beside the nest. “Teerak,” he whispered, eyes warm. “It’s perfect.”

JJ smiled, cheeks pink. “I wanted to make something for you and the babies. So they can feel at home even when we’re far away.”

Net leaned in, kissing his temple. “I already feel at home wherever with You and our pups, teerak."

JJ giggled softly, burying his face in the alpha’s neck. “You’re so cheesy.”

They stayed like that, tangled together in the nest, talking softly about nothing and everything while waiting for their food to arrive. The conversation drifted—about the pups, about their home, about future travels.

Then, Net suddenly asked, “What should we name our babies after these two pups?”

JJ gasped, swatting his arm. “Silly! We still haven’t come up with names for the first two, and you’re already thinking about the next ones?!”

Net laughed, rubbing the spot she hit. “What? I’m just being prepared!”

JJ narrowed his eyes playfully. “No more pups until I survive these two, P’Net.”

“Alright, alright,” Net said, chuckling. “But what if we name them something cute? Like—”

"Like?"

Net shyly chuckled, "I can't think of anything yet, teerak.." He said making JJ laugh.

"I also can't think of anything yet, Phi.." the omega said softly. He felt Net's hand slowly creeping in his tummy to feel his baby bump.

"I hope our babies don't get upset that we still don't know their names..." JJ said, his hands holding the Alpha's hands resting on his tummy.

"They won't, teerak. We're both new to this, but we'll eventually learn together, right?" The older softly placed a kiss on his head.

"Yeah... Together." JJ smiled softly then Net said something that made the omega laugh out loud.

Their laughter filled the room, soft and genuine. Eventually, their food arrived, and Net carefully arranged everything on the nearby table. They ate together in their nest, sharing bites and jokes, the room filled with warmth.

After dinner, JJ snuggled closer, rubbing his cheek against Net’s chest. “You smell nice, P’Net.”

Net chuckled, stroking his hair. “You say that every day.”

“Because it’s true,” JJ mumbled sleepily. “You smell like safety.”

That made Net’s heart melt completely. He pressed a kiss to JJ’s forehead. “And you smell like home, teerak.”

They stayed like that for a while, content in the quiet hum of Tokyo’s city lights outside. Net thought JJ might fall asleep soon—but then, of course, his bunny had other plans.

“P’Net,” JJ whispered suddenly.

“Yes?”

“Do you think our babies can hear us?”

“Maybe,” Net said softly. “They might recognize our voices.”

JJ’s eyes widened with excitement. “Then—then they can hear this!”

Before Net could ask, JJ cupped his belly and shouted cheerfully, “Hi babies! It’s your mama! Please don’t kick too hard tonight, okay? Dada’s been worrying too much!”

Net burst out laughing. “Teerak! You scared them!”

JJ giggled mischievously. “I’m just saying hi! They have to know who’s in charge.”

“Oh, is that so?” Net said, smirking. “Because I think Dada’s still in charge.”

JJ squinted. “You wanna bet?”

That’s how Net ended up in a playful pillow fight inside a nest made of their clothes, both laughing so hard they could barely breathe. JJ was squealing, half-laughing, half-defending himself, while Net tried not to accidentally crush the nest—or his giggling, pregnant mate.

Finally, JJ flopped onto the pile of blankets, breathless and smiling. “You’re such a mean alpha.”

Net lay beside him, brushing a stray lock of hair from his face. “And you’re such a mischievous omega.”

JJ smiled, eyes crinkling. “Perfect match, huh?”

“Perfect,” Net whispered.

The laughter faded into quiet giggles, then soft breaths. Outside, Tokyo’s lights blinked like stars, and inside, in their little nest, the two mates cuddled close—safe, loved, and full of warmth.

JJ let out one last sleepy mumble. “Dada?”

“Yes, teerak?”

“Next time… can we make Zee feed P’Max again?”

Net chuckled softly, pulling him closer. “You really are evil."

JJ giggled, satisfied. “I know.”

And with that, surrounded by soft scents and the hum of the city, they both drifted off to sleep—dreaming of sweets, laughter, and the tiny heartbeat of their growing family.

Notes:

So how should we name the twins? ^^
