Work Text:

I LOOOVED Holidays~

So many arts and crafts to be made! Some for the holiday itself, others gifts to be given FOR that Holiday!

Ooooo it made me so happy~

Busy kids working hard on their projects! Eagerness in their actions, determination in their eyes!

Love in every piece of art they made~

By the time the day was out, the Daycare was FILLED with unused paper, streamers, macaroni, paint, and glitter glue, scattered all over the floor, set neatly on the tables, hanging on the walls~

It made my heart sing at the sight!

I didn't mind one bit whilst cleaning up what was left. I was just so happy that the kids had fun because then I had fun too!

A day the kids had fun well~

It was a wonderful day for me!

As I bend to pick up a few crayons and markers from underneath a chair, something whizzes over my bent form and I come back up, looking confused.

I didn't see anyone!

“Moony?” I call yet gain no answer.

Must be watching the kids leave~

Or asleep~

I smiled at either thought and decided to return back to cleaning the Daycare.

I began to hum to myself and closed my eyes, hugging the used scraps of paper to myself and spun on one foot with joy.

I just felt sooo happy and light, didn't help today was Valentine's Day~

A holiday made JUST around LOVE!

Halloween was nice, and had a LOT of CANDY!

Christmas and those mixed within December had families and cheer, songs and gifts!

But Valentine's Day just, spoke to me~

A holiday all about LOVE!

Whooosh!

I felt the breeze of the thing that whizzed past me this time but before I could even open my eyes and look, whatever it was was gone from sight.

Moony must be checking the surrounding area~

I return to humming and go to step when something alerts me. A feeling unknown now settled gently Upon my head.

I reach up my hand and brush my sensitive fingertips over what caught me off guard.

As I did so, I gasped and felt Warmth burn across my face.

Soft flower petals greeted my fingertips~

That hadn't been there before!

I tenderly pull it from my head and look at it and burst into a smile and giggles.

It was a sunflower~

Bright orange and yellow like my sunny styled mask!

It had a small red ribbon tied up neatly at its neck and a small ‘luv you, Sunflower~’ Scratched upon a note tucked inside it.

The moment got better, well, comically better anyway when the same whooosh grew closer and I happened to look up at the right time This time.

With a deer in the headlights expression upon their face when they found I was looking at them, Moon sailed into me and together, tangled in limbs, we sailed over the playset like weightless butterflies~

I laughed as we sailed back down like a swing and let the rush go through me.

I was really flying~

I felt as light as a feather~

Moon however screeched and whined And tried to untangle us only to come to a stop at long last in a tangle of the cord locked along their back and our arms and legs tied in knots.

“That did NOT go as I'd planned!” Moon growled and pouted, hanging with me still along the cord.

“Awww, it was great, Moonbeam~” I say in return and peck him on the cheek.

I easily slip free of the tangle and flip back onto the ground, leaving the flustered other to dangle there as I return to my work cleaning the Daycare.

Just with a sunflower upon my head and a floaty feeling in my soul~

Notes:

Moon didn't except Sun to look at that very moment

Instead of sweeping the Sun off his feet, they tangled and spun in a chaotic happy dance above the Daycare
