I'm struggling for my life, I feel the tendrils wrapping around my throat whilst purple gas is trapped within my screaming lungs.
That MONSTER appears, distorted as always, a weird amalgamation of a rabbit and a shadow, warping my thoughts of reality until-
Something beautiful happens!
A new, more beautiful color appears from the darkness that's trying to end me. A light bursting forth to lead me back out~
It's Sunny! I'd know that beautiful shine anywhere!
His rays/hair the color of a sunflower, and that smile that gives away his namesake~
Those beautiful blue eyes, the little freckles on his nose that scrunch up whenever he beams~
I claw for him, fighting the lure of hatred and evil until I'm partly to him, the shattered Sun's taken over now by this bright happy one~
‘We can finger paint, tell stories!’ I hear him whisper around me as I yearn for him, clawed hand reaching up for him to take it and pull me the rest of the way out.
‘We have puppet shows, glitter glue, googly eyes~’
Yes!! Yes please!!!
I straaaain to reach him and get a boost as I hear the laughter of children now enveloping me like a fine mist.
Boosting me up like a powerful gust till I can just touch Sunny's warmth. His glow just in reach of my cold hard body.
‘We can stay up all night and drink Fizzy Faz till our heads exPLODE!!’
I'd love that!
Binging Five nights at El Chips, looking at the work the kids made through the day, reading their notes together as the night wore on.
My kinda no sleep~
It finally happens!
I touch his glow and suddenly I'm awake in our loft.
I've scattered the bedding and I'm drenched in sweat and tears.
BUT, it was the loft!
Brightly lit, kind of a mess-
Toys littered our room, mine and Sunny's plushies gently touching just to my right as I sat up straight.
But something was missing.
Something warm and bright, brighter than the sun outside, with more warmth to its touch than the big ball of gas that showed over the world.
MY world was missing ITS Sun and I couldn't take it being absent.
Thus, I get out of our room and hurry towards the balcony where I'd normally rocket off and fly around the Daycare in search of him when instead I find him sitting there peacefully watching the kids as they slept below.
I can't find words yet to speak so instead I wrap my arms around him and begin to sob within the back of his neck.
I collapse behind him as his sweet tender voice speaks out from the otherwise silent room, “Moony!? What's wrong!?”
“The.. Glitch… Purple.. You.. Shattered…”
“Shhh, shh~” He breathes and turns to hold me.
I sink into his warm embrace and the last of the chilly nightmare slips away.
I burrow into his neck and smell his scent. His arms trapping me in a hold I wished never to break, his heart beating slightly fast as he's worried for me, but still beat with love and devotion instead of slowly with sadness.
He pets my head and kisses my face whilst I take in all of him, his features, his breath, his touch~
From the sad and broken to the whole and complete, I was once again reunited with my other half and it felt wonderful if not euphoric and divine!
His tender voice soothing me, the gentle way he touched me, to let me know he was there and I was too~
I close my eyes again and begin to breathe for the first time since the Glitch tried again to take me back!
