Chapter Text
After Wednesday went out with Fester to find Enid, she and Fester were on Fester’s motorcycle.
“Maybe she’s in that cave over there!” Fester drove off the road into a dark cave with a metal door.
“Wait!” Wednesday recognized that symbol. “I know that man.”
“Well then, let’s go in!” The door opened, revealing a waterfall and a metal passageway, leading to what appeared to be a bat cave of some sort with military-like structure. A cloaked figure in a bat cowl stared down on Wednesday, causing Fester to stop the bike. Wednesday smiled, loving the dark aesthetic the man had.
“Nice place you got here.” Wednesday complimented the man in her usual deadpan demeanor. “I love the bats.”
“They’re my bats.” The man mentioned. “I’m Batman, and these are my children, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, Huntress, and Black Canary.” Robin waved to Wednesday.
“I need your help of finding Enid.” Wednesday requested.
“What does she look like?” Huntress asked.
“She’s a large werewolf but can’t turn back to her human form due to her being an alpha.” Batman went to his bat computer in his mini Batcave in Jericho. He checked on his computer but got an alert about a robbery at Jericho Mall.
“Enid’s going to have to wait, there has been a robbery at Jericho Mall, and the suspect is identified to be Mr. Freeze.”
“Mr. Freeze?” Wednesday recalled him helping her against Ra’s Al Ghul. “I know that man.”
“Wednesday, get in the Batmobile with me.” Batman went to the Batmobile while Wednesday rode shotgun.
“The rest of you watch the Batcomputer for more threats.” Batman ordered. Wednesday and Batman drove out to the Jericho Mall.
Inside the mall, the floor was iced while there were Christmas decorations and people trying to do their Christmas shopping.
“Mr. Freeze, stop this charade.” Batman told Freeze.
“Sorry Batman but Winter is coming!” Freeze threatened. “It’s time people know the true meaning of Christmas, not all this commercialist slop!” Mr. Freeze recalled what happened to his wife. “Ever since my wife Nora was left in stasis when I worked in research and development at Fort Finger, the US Army cut off my research because I used military funds to cure my wife.”
“Take your anger on them, not these mall shoppers!” Wednesday persuaded Freeze.
“SILENCE!” Freeze snapped, freezing Wednesday into an ice block, while Batman used his heat gun to unthaw Wednesday. “The reason why I chose to attack this place is because I could never have a merry Christmas with my wife, so if I can’t have a merry Christmas, no one else can.” Freeze’s Freezemobile, a large white truck, crashed through the Macys entrance. Out from it came six men in brown overcoats with Russian-style hats wielding MPS AA-12 Sledgehammers, shooting at the mall shoppers. The goon captain went into a Cartier jewelry store.
“Hand over the diamonds!” The Goon captain held his gun at the jewel store clerk. Wednesday and Batman came to the scene of the crime.
“Where do you think you’re going, bub?” Wednesday used her taser to stun the goon captain, making him drop the gun. Wednesday picked up the gun, aiming it at the goon captain, but Batman bent the barrel.
“No.” Batman told Wednesday. “The gun is the weapon of the enemy.” He used his Bat-cuffs to cuff the goon captain. The Jericho police arrived at the scene.
“We’ll take the rest of these goons; you get to safety!” The Jericho sheriff, Ritchie Santiago, told Batman and Wednesday. Wednesday and Batman left the area in their Batmobile, in pursuit of Mr. Freeze and other baddies wherever they would nest.
