Hollyberry cookie layed on the warm tile in the Royal garden looking at the sunny sky. She had just come back from beast-yeast and she was still a bit shake up by everything that happened. The way eternal sugar cried when she left broke her heart, but that very heart did not belong to the beast of sloth. She wished their was an easy way to tell Eternal Sugar that, but no matter what that conversation would not go over smoothly. As the queen was getting lost in her thoughts she heard the flapping of leathery wings come down from above.
“You ready to spar” said Pitaya Dragon Cookie. No “hello” no “what happened”, just a “You ready to spar”. Pitaya’s lack of a formal introduction didn’t bother Hollyberry though, she could still tell Pitaya Dragon Cookie was excited to see her by her dearest’s tail waging in excitement like a cakehound. Hollyberry didn’t even realize she was staring at it, or giggling until Pitaya noticed and tried to hide their tail behind their back in a flustered panick.
“YOU DIDN’T SEE THAT” Pitaya screamed, the dragons face red with embarrassment. Their was a long akaward pause between the to cookies before Holly spoke up.
“Maybe not today”
“Huh”
“You asked if I was willing to spar with you?”
Pitaya dragon cookie completely forgot about that. They were now more focused now Hollyberry’s face before she noticed they were flying above , she looked shaken up , as if someone had scared the spark out of her. “Are you ok, how come you can’t fight today?” Pitaya asked trying to hide the concern in their voice.
“It’s a long story” the queen said as she watched the suns rays reflect off her armor “ some stuff happened in beast-yeast”
“What stuff?” Asked the red dragon.
“It’s a boring story you wouldn’t want to here it, plus it’s a very long one” said Hollyberry, still laying on the floor of the garden.
Pitaya put their sword down on the expensive tile, layed on the floor next to Hollyberry Cookie, turned their face to towards hers, and said “I have all the time on Earthbred, tell me”. After receiving the ok from Pitaya she began to tell of all that happened in beast-yeast, getting a little teary eyed. The second Pitaya noticed this the dragon shifted closer to Holly and put their arms around her. She stopped for a second and stared at Pitaya before to they said “continue”
It had been almost 2 hours and nobody had any idea where the queen mother went, the members of the royal family decided to go around the castle looking for her instead of just waiting. Jungle berry cookie, the current queen, had gone to the garden with her husband in search of Holly. They needed to go into pairs, for the gardens size would make it impossible to search for her alone. As Jungle berry was walking around calling the queen mother’s name when she found the two love birds. Pitaya and Hollyberry were asleep in the garden, their faces pressed close together, their arms wrapped around each other, and Pitaya’s wings folded out and keeping the sun from their eyes.
“Honey I found your mother” Jungle berry called out to her husband, trying to keep her voice as low as possible. Royal berry, who was not far behind his wife came forward to see where his mother had gone. Him and his wife just sat there for a moment staring at the two cookies snuggling on the floor.
“Royal berry, should we wake them up” the queen asked her husband, unsure of what to do.
“No” the king replied “A lot of things happened recently because of that beast, both of them deserve this”. Then Royal berry turned to his wife, with a content expression on his face he said “they look comfortable, we should try doing that sometime”.
