Chapter Text
Satarou was pressed against Suguru, their legs intertwined as the two were slowly woken up by the soft sound of Suguru’s alarm.
‘Satarou… we have classes,’ Suguru mumbled, sleepily opening an eye.
‘Fuck classes, I want cuddles,’ Satarou muttered a response, shutting his eyes tighter. ‘Couldn’t you just stay with me a little longer?’
‘I would love to….but you can’t miss any more classes,’ Suguru mumbled back, a sleepy rasp in his voice.
‘Fuck classes.’ he groaned, continuing to keep his eyes shut.
‘Satarou,’ Suguru gently scratched his lover’s head.
‘you have to go to class, so do I,’
Satarou sleepily grumbles as he sat up, taking off his tank top and grabbing his uniform shirt.
‘I don’t think learning to divide fractions will make me the strongest,’ Satarou muttered as Suguru moved behind him, wrapping his arm around Satarou’s midriff, nuzzling into the crook of his neck.
‘Maybe not, but I would love it if you did,’ he mumbled sleepily, closing his eyes again.
‘You would love me either way,’ Satarou said before freezing, looking away sadly. ‘Sorry… I know… I know we can’t-’ he said, his voice cracking. Suguru sighed sadly, sitting next to him and resting his head on his shoulder.
‘I know,’ he said, staring at the floor, Satarou resting his head on Suguru’s, both of them wondering if they should truly admit their feelings. It was still frowned upon.
‘We should go to class,’ Suguru said coldly, standing and pulling on his uniform, averting his gaze from Satarou entirely. Satarou felt his heart break just a little bit as he dressed, grabbing his bag as they walked to class, Suguru putting up his signature bun. Shoko met up with them, waving after getting off the phone, taking a puff of her cigarette.
‘Hey losers! Whats got you in the ditch? Not enough sugar Gojo?’ She asked, smirking. Satarou shrugged her off, sighing.
‘No, not that, just a bad morning,’ he shrugged, sitting down and stretching out, closing his eyes.
‘How bad was it that the great and powerful satarou Gojo cant keep his eyes open?’ Leiri asked, surprised.
‘Really bad,’ Suguru said, sitting down next to Satarou, grumbling as their least favorite teacher walked in.
‘Alright class!’ He said energetically, clapping his hands together as the others filed in, groaning. ‘Today is a lesson about curses!’ He wrote the word on the board in big letters, his nails scraping slightly on the board making everybody wince. As he droned on about curses, Satarou slowly slipped into sleep, his head resting on his arms as he snoozed. He woke up with a flick from Suguru, who sighed.
‘You need to stay awake longer, or you’re going to fail all your classes,’ he said, making Satarou roll his eyes.
‘If someone just gave me candy, I would be perfectly fine,’ Satarou grumbled, looking at him with a disgruntled glare. Yu came up from behind, flicking Satarou’s shoulder with a laugh.
‘Well, maybe you shouldn’t rely on candy all the time dude! Get some coffee, it lasts longer!’ he suggested, resting his forearms on the desk with a sly smirk, yelping in surprise when Suguru lightly smacked the back of his head.
‘I will not be dealing with a caffeine and sugar addicted Satarou, thank you very much,’ he said stiffly, scoffing. Kento walked over, frowning.
‘What’s going on? Did Gojo get into the caffeine and the sugar?’ He asked, frowning worriedly. ‘I don’t think I’ll be able to live past 19 if that happens,’ he grumbled, sighing before walking out, towing Haibara along with him.
‘Come on, it’s lunch time anyways,’ Suguru sighed, dragging Satarou off his chair ungracefully, letting him thunk down on the floor and dragging him, Ieri picking his legs up since he didn’t want to walk with them.
‘Put me down!’ Satarou complained, though not struggling against the hold, sighing, trying to hide the fact that his head was resting against Suguru’s chest. He could feel the black-haired boy’s heart racing, though his face showed no reaction.
They carried him halfway to the vending machines before dropping him on the soft grass, sitting down next to him, all then lying down and staring up at the sky, Suguru secretly twining his hand with Satarou’s. A wave of sadness washed over Satarou, knowing them being together could never be a thing. He wanted to kiss and hold and cherish this boy so much but he couldn’t and it was destroying him. The bell ringing for their second to last class of the day startled him out of his dozing, and they got up.
