Chapter Text
It was a chilly and equally uncomfortable evening. The wind blew through the trees and the only sounds India could hear were her own breathing mixed with the subtle movement of leaves.
She wouldn’t say she was scared, but the eeriness of the night certainly wasn’t lost on her. By the time she left her house to go on a walk, the moon was already up and she was only accompanied by shadows from distant trees.
She walked a path she has crossed many times before, not needing to pay attention to what's in front of her anymore. She followed a certain route that not many knew of, but she was determined to continue even in the darkness of the night.
She knew exactly where this course led her to, and even after walking it again and again she was still unsure of what was ahead of her.
The terrain she crossed was harsh and untouched, she was accompanied by branches scratching her skin and pollen getting stuck everywhere causing her to sneeze. India opened her eyes after she recovered from her influential sneeze and saw two piercing crimson eyes boring through her. If she wasn’t so insanely attracted she would’ve maybe screamed or even run away, but she was so enraptured by the dangerously beautiful orbs that all else around her seemed unimportant.
At least for a few seconds.
As she bolted, she could feel her heart pounding in her throat, not knowing whether that was because of attraction or because of fear. Not long after she started running she heard footsteps following closely behind her and she shrieked when she felt the presence of an alpha approaching scarily fast.
She mustered the courage to look to her side and instantly regretted her choice as two glaring orbs met hers.
In the first few seconds she could merely see those flaming eyes between the shadows of the night, but while she was running she noticed her surroundings became clearer under the blue toned light the moon had shed on the forest.
She was not only more aware of her surroundings in this illumination, but also the other presence now accompanying her on her journey that weren’t just floating eyes anymore.
Just as India tried to decipher the appearance of her new friend, she felt a sharp pain on the top of her head. She was forced to slow down her running and reached with a hand on her head, just to feel a wet spot beginning to form. She could’ve probably screeched again but her vision went dark withholding her from making noise.
