“C’mon, let me see where we’re goin’!”
“No can do, Timon!” Pumbaa responded. He wanted everything to finally go down right. And Timon being blindfolded was only the first half of it. It was almost dawn, the night stars shining in the sky, fading just a bit.
The warthog led the meerkat to a familiar river bank, just outside of Hakuna Matata Falls. He tried to hold back the tears welling up in his eyes.
“Okay, open your eyes..”
Timon hastily took off the blindfold, and his jaw dropped, being greeted with a full view of Hakuna Matata Falls, and the sunlight started to sneak its light past the mountain, making a beautiful sunrise. It reminded the meerkat about the same view he saw with the same warthog a long, long time ago.
“Pumbs, I..” The words caught in his throat as he turned around, and he saw Pumbaa, leaning down on his hooves.
“Timon Berkowitz, ever since you’ve entered my life, you’ve been my best friend. And this spot--"
"Was where we came across Hakuna Matata Falls for the first time?"
Pumbaa's smile remained warm as he nodded. "Yeah, and.. I'd like to make sure the rest of your days have no worries.. Timon, will you marry me?"
Not even before he could finish hearing the question, Timon was already gonna say yes.
