“Aly. I need your help.” Alec stood by her bedroom door, his arms crossed. Aly, confused, asked, “With what? You can’t just say that? I need more information! I’m not going to help you if you need to find a frog, or something...” Aly shudders and her nose scrunched up in disgust. Alec sighed, “No… it’s not that. I need your help… I need your help to find a gift for Funneh.” he mutters the last part, however, Aly seems to hear and perks up immediately. “A gift?! Well, well, well! You’ve come to the best person in (TOWN NAME. IS THERE EVEN A TOWN NAME?????) to ask!” Aly proudly proclaimed. “First! We should check online! Have you been searching for any gifts or have any ideas?” Unsurprised by Aly’s willingness to help suddenly, Alec casually explains, “Well yeah but nothing I saw online seemed right for her. And originally I thought about making something for her but that… um. Never mind. Point is I’ve got nothing.” Aly frowns but says nothing,

As Alec looked at the keychains on the rack, his eyes suddenly stopped at one. It was a cute, tiny, fluffy, hamburger capybara keychain. He takes it off the rack and holds the trinket gently in his hand.
‘It’s perfect for her.’
“Hey! Did you find anything yet?” Aly popped up behind him, curiously peering into what he was holding. Once she saw it, her face light up like Christmas morning. “That’s perfect! See! I knew you got this in the bag!” Aly said joyfully, patting him on the back, acting as if she hadn’t told him he was hopeless just hours ago.

That night, Alec had gone over what he would say with Aly multiple times… so why was his palms sweating so badly? He clutched the capybara tightly as he walked down the crowded hallways of Yandere High, searching for a familiar blue head.
‘Ok. I got this. Just go up to her and give her it. Say you saw it and thought of her and it was no problem at all—‘
His thoughts came to a halt when he heard a familiar, heart warming, laugh. Funneh’s laugh. It always made him feel fuzzy inside. The girl was with her friends, Gold and Kyran. The windows were open and the light shined down upon her, she looked heavenly. His heart fluttered. Which probably wasn’t normal right? Was he coming down with a illness? Slowly, Alec made his way through the crowded hallway and towards her.
Alec walked up to Funneh, her back was towards him, standing right behind her. Gold and Kyran had spotted him earlier, Gold’s face was split into a knowing smirk while Kyran’s face immediately soured upon seeing him. He tapped Funneh on her shoulder, “Funneh.” She spun around, facing him, and nervously peered at him. “Oh, hey Alec! Whatcha doing here… haha…” she chuckled, which upon seeing Alec couldn’t fight back the slight smile on his own lips. “I actually have something for you. Um, here.” Alec held out the capybara keychain for her to see. “Aly dragged me to the mall and when we were passing by I saw it on display and it reminded me of you. Which is why I decided to get it. For you.” He said awkwardly. So much for rehearsals.
Funneh’s ears turned a shade of red so fast that Alec couldn’t help but worry. Was it even possible for that to happen so fast? “Oh wow! Wow… thanks Alec! Really, thank you so much!” Her face broke into a huge grin which made Alec’s heart melt. Oh how much he would do to keep that smile on her face. She took the keychain from his hands and held it in her own. A small, quiet, smile replaced her huge grin. However, this smile seemed even better than the last one. It felt so precious he felt a rush of happiness fill himself.
“Um, so… did ya name this little guy or?…” Funneh glanced up at him. Name? The thought hadn’t even crossed his mind. “Oh. Um, no. I haven’t. Do you have any ideas in mind though?” Funneh’s eyebrows furrows frowning, but suddenly she beams like she had an epiphany. “What about Falec? You know… Funneh and Alec! Just mushed together!” Alec smiles at her, “Yeah. I like that. Falec it is!” Funneh laughs, and god did that sound heavenly.
“He could be like… you know… our kid? I mean! Um! We could take turns taking care of it? Maybe? Um…! I call dibs on taking care of him first?” Funneh rambled, her face paling more and more as she talked. “OKAY! You know what I’m going to stop talking now haha…!!” Funneh chuckled nervously.
