The First Dawn
In the somber darkness the Valar, the Maiar, and the eldar gathered to mourn around fallen Laurelin and desecrated Telperion as the two trees had joined those ancient lanterns of the childhood of Arda. Then the three sisters of Valar came forward sang to the fallen trees and from their bark dripped the final draughts of light the foul Ungoliant did not drink. From the elder tree sprang forth a flower of brilliant silver. And of the golden maiden it's sap came into a blinding fruit of flaming passion. Next stepped forward the Smith and his followers who took the two children of the trees and forged them vessels as beautiful as their craft could forge.
The silver flower was placed into Isil the Sheen and Tilion of the hunt took him and the two went into the dark sky bringing forward light once more as the first rising of the moon as the eldar smiled up at the silver light. And the fruit was set in Anar the fire golden and given to the flaming Arien of Vána's following. And she chased after Tilion and with her the sun shown. Brighter than all lights before it smote the darkness as Melkor in his throne and his foul creatures fled back for her light stung their hide and burned their eye. Across Arda towards the west the lesser elves looked out to. And far in the east as Man awoke for the first time he looked west and was not greeted by the cold and dark but the gold of the first dawn of the first age.
