Work Text:

Once Thunderbird 5 was finally situated in orbit, the team prepared to make their way down to stop the Hood. But just as they were about to depart, Brains’ voice came crackling through the comms.

“Mr. Tracy,” Brains said urgently, “is Scott there?”

“He is,” Jeff replied, motioning for his eldest son to come over. “What is it, Brains?”

Scott leaned closer, puzzled. “What’s going on?”

Before Brains could answer, another voice came through the comm.
It was Onaha.
“One last push, Kim!”

Then came a pained cry, Kim’s screams echoed through the comms. Everyone froze. Scott’s breath caught in his throat.

And then, a moment later, the sweetest sound filled the room: a newborn’s high-pitched cry.

Scott’s eyes flooded with tears. He exhaled a trembling breath of relief. On the other end, his exhausted wife’s voice came through, soft and weak but full of joy.
“She’s here, Scott… Olivia's here. All ten toes and fingers. She's perfect.”

Jeff stepped closer, putting a hand on his son’s shoulder. “We need to go, son.” His voice was gruff, emotional. “Transmission over to Thunderbird 3.”

Scott nodded, blinking away tears as Brains switched the comm channel.

Scott’s eyes watered as he asked quietly, “What color are her eyes?”

“Brown,” Kim murmured with a tired smile. “Brown eyes, brown hair…”

Scott laughed softly, full of disbelief and love. “You've got your mini-me.”

Kim tiredly her voice a gentle whisper. “Go save the world, Captain Bluebird.”

Scott straightened, swiping at his eyes and gave a shaky, “FAB.”

The comm fell silent.

He had missed the birth of his second child, just as he’d missed the first. The guilt stung, but before he could spiral, his father’s voice cut through the quiet.
“Congratulations, son.”

Scott smiled weakly. “Thanks, Dad.”

He thought for sure he’d never get to meet her. He owed Alan and the rest of the team more than words could say.

When they finally returned home after stopping the hood, Scott saw Penelope waiting with Aiden, his two-year-old mini me blonde hair and all. As soon as the boy spotted his father, he squealed and ran across the landing pad.

“Hi, Guppy,” Scott greeted warmly, scooping him up. Aiden buried his face into his father’s shoulder, sighing contentedly.

“Guess what,” Scott whispered with a grin. “Your sister’s here.”

Aiden’s head shot up, his blue eyes wide. “Baby’s here?!”

“Yeah,” Scott chuckled. “Let’s go meet her.”

Together the two made their way down the hall to his and Kim’s room. Scott knocked softly before opening the door.

Inside, Kim sat on the bed, cradling a tiny bundle in her arms. Her face glowing with happiness. Aiden made his way into the bed with her.

Kim smiled at the boy, then at him. “Come meet her,” she said, holding the baby out.

Scott’s breath hitched as he took his daughter into his arms for the first time. She was so small, so very perfect. He felt tears sting his eyes again as he gently brushed a finger along her cheek.

He sat beside Kim, wrapping an arm around her shoulders, drawing her close. “You did amazing,” he whispered.

A little later, Jeff entered quietly. Scott held out Olivia. Jeff took her and held her carefully.

“Are you all coming to the celebration later?” Jeff asked.

Kim nodded. “We wouldn’t miss it.”

Scott smiled and helped her change into something comfortable yet cute before getting himself and Aiden into their swim trunks. Kim left with Penelope to rest a bit before the party, while Scott carried his son outside.

The sun was setting, painting the sky in soft oranges and golds. From the poolside, Scott watched his family, the laughter, Alan and Tin Tin's poor attempt at flirting, the sound of Gordon splashing with Aiden.

He sighed, everyone was alive. Everyone was safe.

And that was all that truly mattered.

Notes:

Baby Olivia is here. Let him have his family. But only in one universe.
