Work Text:
Charlie curled, allowing his larger mates warmth to seep in. The pup that had been with Nick when they met was grown and gone, but the two of them remained. A pack of necessity, life in the storm, but now turned into so much more.
He felt Nick's tongue smooth the fur around his neck and yawned, leaning against the larger wolf, unable to stop his own tail from thumping in contented bliss.
There was a crunch of leaves in their bed and the mornings were brisk and cool again. Winter would be here soon, but he had his pack.
