Work Text:
Dearest Sister.
I regret to inform you I am in need of your services once again. A member of the Hemlocke family’s staff has been assaulted by a member of the police force. Ivory Cello is a lovely, if a bit quiet and unemotional, but she is good.
Yet, a detective by the name of Bormethius believes she is responsible for Mysticat’s demise. He finds guilt in her nervousness, and deems her dangerous. This man who calls himself a detective apparently uses tactics used on me during wartimes, and I do not forgive this lightly. He has also harassed multiple members of staff, trying to convince them to be cautious around her. He has entered the manor unwelcome, in the past few weeks, and I believe he attempted to enter through the attic, though I did not find him.
However, that is not why this letter finds you. A few days ago, he demanded Ivory get in his car for more questioning while most of the family and staff were out. He took her into the woods on the far part of town, and nearly beat her to death. She dragged herself into the house, long past sunset.
Your know I do not take attacks on this family lightly. You protect the innocent, and deliver justice to the guilty. Please do your worst. I am including a picture of the victim, and the perpetrator. I am also including your payment in the form of a cheque.
Sincerely, your brother.
