Bradley: Sibs, I might have fucked up bad. I'm sorry.
Amber: WHAT DID YOU DO?!
Chris: You didn't just show up at Dad's, did you?
Bradley: I did.
Amber: Are you stupid?
Chris: I think that's your sign to fucking finally tell us what's happened between you and Mav! Nobody ever wanted to tell us!!
Bradley: Mav didn't want me to join the Navy so he pulled my papers so I couldn’t get into the Academy. Cut ties with him when I found out. That's all.
Chris: What the fuck
Amber: Hypocrite
Chris: Why would he do that?!
Bradley: No idea, honestly. He didn't explain. Just said that's how it's going to be. That I won't join the Navy. Guess he's still pissed that I ran off. Or that I made it to be a Navy pilot. Or both.
Chris: Does Dad know why he did that?
Bradley: Dunno. We've talked a lot during the last couple of months but never about that.
Amber: And how exactly did you fuck up now?
Bradley: Visited Dad yesterday. During the day. Thought my chances would be good that Mav wouldn't be there and he wasn't at first but came back early from work. Things escalated. Apparently Dad didn't tell Mav that we've been staying in contact. I'm pretty sure they had a fight when I was gone.
Chris: Shit
Bradley: I honestly thought he knew. Dad was open about being with him when I asked and I just thought… you don't keep that from the person you love, do you?
Amber: The older I get, the more I see that Dad is not the superhero he’s always wanted us to believe he is.
Chris: You're the youngest of us all!!
Amber: Still. And I'm not saying he's a bad dad.
Bradley: He really isn't.
Chris: So how do we fix things?
Chris: Bradley, you want to fix things, right?
Amber: Or do you wish endless misery upon your godfather?
Bradley: I want Dad to be happy.
Bradley: And Mav too.
Bradley: But we?
Amber: You thought we'd let you sort that out alone? No way, you're my fav big brother.
Chris: I'm heartbroken, Amber.
Amber: I love you both!
Bradley: Texted Dad this morning. Says I shouldn't worry about him.
Chris: I don't believe him.
Amber: Me neither.
Chris: I'll call him tomorrow.

Chris: Didn't get much out of him but avoided my request about letting Mav help him and said Mav wasn't home.
Chris: Texted Mav then because I wanted to talk to him about something else anyway and he was just weird about everything.
Bradley: SomeTHING else or rather someONE else? How's it going with Mike btw?
Chris: No, it wasn't about Mike! And nothing's going on!
Bradley: You still haven't asked him out, have you?
Chris: It's not that easy.
Bradley: Oh, c’mon. It's not that difficult. You're spending so much time together already. He LIKES you.
Chris: You still haven't asked Jake out either, have you?
Bradley: It's not that easy.
Amber: Boys, you're losing focus. This isn't about your relationship drama but about Dad's!
Chris: Yes, sorry.
Amber: So we basically don't know anything because they both won't say anything.
Bradley: Maybe we need your power as the ultimate Daddy's girl! We all know Dad has a weak spot for you!
Amber: Thx for the compliment, B! I'll invite myself in and see what I can find out.
Amber: I'll ask him tomorrow, okay?

Amber: Change of plans, boys. Mom's pissing me off! Asking Dad NOW if I can come over!
Amber: He said it's fine
Amber: I'll be there in an hour
Chris: Make sure he's eaten something!
Amber: Will do!

Amber: We just had dinner. He probably hasn't eaten properly in days. There's definitely something wrong.
Amber: Asked him if where Mav is and when he’ll come home. Evaded my questions and just said Mav's “busy” and I shouldn't worry.
Bradley: As if we aren't already worried.
Amber: And as if Mav is just busy. He's ALWAYS there if he isn't at work and he doesn't work on weekends or this time of the day.
Chris: Fuck, okay. You think he's on track with his medication?
Amber: Yes, I think so.
Chris: That's something at least.

Bradley: Any news?
Amber: He keeps pretending that everything is fine?
Chris: Do you believe him?
Amber: No.
Amber: He's clearly not fine.
Amber: And he just won't say what happened. I asked him again. Even said that I know that Bradley visited.
Chris: I've been wondering if it's out of place for us to find out what's happened? Maybe it's just none of our business? Maybe we shouldn't care so much as long as he's kind of okay?
Bradley: No, I fucked this up! want to fix it!
Chris: And how?! We can't just show up at Mav's hangar? I'm in Boston. Amber can't just drive up there without a car. And Bradley… that wouldn't end well.
Bradley: But maybe Uncle Slider could?
Amber: Yes, yes, yes!! Let's ask him!! He doesn't care if it's none of his business and he's their best friend. That's good! I'm sure he'll do it!
Chris: Then let's hope he's not at the other end of the world.
Amber: Isn't he retired yet?
Chris: Not yet.
Bradley: Didn't you get the invite to his retirement party in two months?
Chris: You're invited, too? Are you going though? Mav will be there for sure.
Amber: Oh, right yes, I remember.
Bradley: Don't know yet. Don't want to crash his party because my godfather can't be civil for once.
Chris: That's an advantage for us though.
Bradley: ??
Chris: Uncle Slider probably has a personal interest in getting us all together. Us three plus Dad and Mav. And the only way to achieve that is if Dad and Mav make up.
Bradley: And Mav needs to finally explain and apologize... don't think that's gonna happen.
Chris: I wouldn't be so sure about that. Uncle Slider can be quite intimidating.
Chris: And it might be necessary that you two have that talk to get Dad and Mav back together anyway.
Bradley: You really think Mav would be up for talking to me again? Like really talking? Not just shouting and throwing heedless accusations at me?
Chris: I hope so.
Amber: If someone can knock some sense into Mav, then it's Uncle Sli…
Chris: Either way, I think he's our best shot at fixing any of all this bullshit that's going on.
Bradley: I'll call him.

Bradley: He's in town. Told him everything we know so far. He's furious. Called both of them idiots. Wants to talk to Dad first though. Promised to keep us updated.
