THE MENACING FOX - Original by Samalamama
"Trapping it is a good idea."
"Earle, " the older weasel blurted "I have kids to feed. You have kids to feed."
His eyes were piercing, burning through the fur on little old Earle's head. It took a while before he responded.
"Look, I don't know what kind of ferret you think I am, but I can assure you that my children are my number one priority going into this."
"Oh really? Where's their mother on that list then?" The white ferret remarked.
"Go to hell, douchebag."
Earle darted away.
Terry thought for a while as he headed home, but he threw it all aside as he unlocked the door to his little hobbit home.
As he pulled his boots off, a little ferret ran up to hug him, its claws making loud clattering noises on the wood flooring.
"Daddy!"
"Jane, darling..." He tried to speak, but the words got caught in his throat.
Instead, he set his rucksack down beside them and placed a comforting paw on his daughter's head, stroking her pale fur.
"Mummy's sad because Ry wont do what she tells him to." She mumbled into his fur.
"That's ok sweetheart, I'll speak with them. But now it's time for bed, alright?"
Jane nodded obediently and went to the bedroom, where all the ferrets slept on one big, floppy bed.
