Chapter Text
“Ugh,” Peter groaned, grabbing onto the wall as he straightened up, getting to his feet. “Damn it.”
His shoulder was burning in pain, the agony blaring with each movement, each shift. The pain was ungodly, unfiltered.
He rolled his shoulder, which was admittedly a big mistake on his part, but he needed to know if it was serious.
Pain flared up in every inch of his arm and back, setting his shoulder and neck ablaze.
“Damn it!” he hissed.
It was most likely dislocated. He just hoped that it would get better by the morning.
He couldn’t afford to skip another school day due to some suspicious injuries. He didn’t need the teachers snooping around in his business. As long as he did his homework and got good grades, all would be fine, injuries and Spider-Man-ing aside.
Peter bit his tongue to stop himself from screaming in pain as he lifted his arm and shot a web at the roof of a building, pulling himself up.
He shot web after web, making his way home.
The first few swings were alright, albeit extremely painful, though nothing too bad had happened. That was before he swung across a skyscraper.
Just as he had gotten around it, the ground below filled with cars, his shoulder gave out. The web broke, causing him to plummet out of the sky. His heart dropped, air whooshing around him.
The only thing stopping him from screaming was pure shock.
Before he could hit the ground, however, he desperately slung a web at another building and caught himself, jostling his shoulder way too much for his liking.
He swung back home, his heart pounding, the sound of blood rushing loud in his ears.
He took a shaky, deep breath, collapsing onto his bed, the pain so heavy, he couldn't feel his shoulder.
“Ow.”
