Morro watches in disbelief as he connects all the strange details he had encountered throughout the week.
The Jade Prince just smiled ever so sweetly, as if mocking the whole interaction they had so far. For the fact that he has them all on the palm of his hand, running around chasing the idea of The Sun.
”You are not just Lloyd.” Morro finally said, watching as the prince took the oni mask without any difficulty despite Morro had already tried to reach the mask only for some kind of seal preventing him from as much as a single touch.
”You are Lloyd Garmadon.” His tone was less of a question and more of a statement. Lloyd Garmadon just smiled brightly at his accusation, he hugged the oni mask closer to himself, seemingly happy to finally drop the act and show Morro who is behind the layer.
”Ah, so you noticed.” His tone was ever so smooth and light, seemingly unaffected despite the cold gaze Morro now sending his way. If anything, Lloyd Garmadon was quick to circle him around. His posture is that of a fighter, something that Morro had noticed earlier in their interaction searching for the temple.
Morro would never in a million years expect he would be drawing his blade to someone he wished to protect. But being the green ninja has taught him some lesson the hard way.
Lloyd Garmadon chuckles lightly at the defensive display, “Well, what gives you the clue that I might be a Garmadon?”
Morro takes another good look at the person in front of him.
Golden locks, red eyes of an oni descent.
Lloyd.
Everything was obvious had Morro given it just enough thought.
But he didn’t.
No. That’s not totally correct either.
He just refuses to believe in such truth, that someone from the past, the son of the very warlord he had killed is the person he had come to care about.
Lloyd Garmadon looked at him expectantly. Morro raised his blade higher, “Give me the mask, Lloyd Garmadon.”
Now that he thinks about it better, who else would name their gang The Son of Garmadon, if not for Lloyd himself? Morro couldn’t help but want to bang his head on the floor, but now is not the time for self reflection. Not when he need to focus on the mission.
Lloyd Garmadon had the audacity to sigh in disappointment.
Morro hates how it stings on his chest.
“Huh, I really shouldn’t have high hopes for a father killer.” With one quick move, Lloyd Garmadon has to wear the mask of hatred with a cunning smile. The horn immediately grew on his head, and the aura surrounding him had grown chiller- something sinister is up in the air and Morro didn’t like it.
“You bore me.” Lloyd Garmadon launched fast, the purple aura surrounding him jagged in hostility.
Morro tried to parry him with his blade. But before the attack could connect, Lloyd had quickly pivoted on his feet and dodged him entirely. Opting to run toward the only exit while Morro was standing there, stunned.
Lloyd flashed him one last look, although Morro cannot be sure on what kind of expression Lloyd is currently wearing.
“Let’s see how you like the feeling of sinking down,” the blonde said, destroying the trap door that activates the water to rise from the bottom. “See you! If you survive, that is!”
