“I have a crush on you,” Harua says, blinking rapidly. He looks at Yudai with his pouted lips, waiting for his reaction.
“Oh… Thanks?” He lets out a nervous laugh. “Oh my- Sorry, I'm just… You just caught me off guard,” he frowns, swallowing. “So how long?”
Harua takes a deep breath. “Since the last rehearsal, I guess. So, a few weeks,” he purses his lips. “You were dancing all along there, moving like you're not a human,” he giggles. “And I was like: oh fucking hell, I want him.”
Yudai blushes. He really doesn't know how to react and what to say now. He's been in such situations a few times before, but this time, with Harua, it's just different.
Harua's so honest, he just blurts everything out with his eyes being glued to Yudai's. He's obviously nervous, but still so brave.
“You know I'm- I have a boyfriend, right?” He asks quietly, trying not to hurt Harua, even though it's impossible in this situation.
But Harua just nods. “I know. He's hot as fuck,” he smiles shyly. “You both are, though. I just wanted you to know. Um, like… I had to tell you about my feelings to hear a rejection, so I can move on easier,” he shrugs.
It's so strange to hear that, Yudai thinks.
Saying such things so casually- It's probably gonna hurt him, even if he tries to play it cool.
“Harua, I'm sorry,” Yudai opens his arm to let Harua hug him. “I’m sorry you have to hear this,” he whispers, kissing the top of his head.
Harua takes a deep breath, shutting his eyes. The scent of Yudai's perfume makes him want to melt into his embrace. But he just pulls back, smiling. “You don't need to be,” he shakes his head. “I think it's okay to go through this, right?”
Yudai purses his lips, nodding briefly. “Maybe, yeah.”
Harua is such a good person, he deserves love. Just not Yudai's.
“I'll find someone who'll love me back,” Harua wrinkles his nose. “But can we still be friends?”
“Of course, Rua, we're still friends! And we'll always be, right?” He tilts his head to the side.
Harua nods.
That's true. Even if he still has a crush on him, because it's not something that comes and goes easily. Especially with a person like Koga Yudai. They still need each other. Harua can't imagine his life without his friend being around him.
He'll get over it, he's sure.
He just needs some time.
