Snow falls all night and all the next day - Christmas Day - covering Central Park in white, white so crisp it makes the mouth water. The world is so quiet and the air outside their windows is so thick that the couple pretend they're snowed in, cuddling for hours. Neither have family, and their friends issued open invitations, so there's nowhere they need to be and nothing they need to do. A devil in church might not go down well, and even if he shapeshifted into something more palatable, Azazel secretly fears to cross the sacred threshold.
“Hot chocolate?”
“Yes, please!”
