It was a normal night, or what was supposed to be a normal night. A particular throuple was having a small quiet whisper argument about what to bake. Well, not exactly an argument. Dahlia sighed and smiled gently at her partners as Iris was wringing her hands slightly, mumbling a bit in a nervous fashion. She smiled as Dahlia kissed her cheek. She was just nervous about all of this. She didn't really have a reason to be but was. Barry had his arms crossed, then looked at the other two. He suddenly had an idea.

“What if we just .. I don't know, experimented.” Dahlia smiled at him as Iris quietly said that was a good idea, Barry had a split look of pride before they headed to the kitchen. Dahlia occasionally had to whisper about gloves and the pan and the ingredients, sounding like a big sister or mother occasionally, but in a more romantic fashion. Not that she meant to. It was just a habit. Especially with her partners here. Barry was seemingly trying his best, so was Iris. None of them wanted this to turn out a disaster after all. But they still wanted to have fun at least at first.

The next moment however.. Flour was everywhere.
None of them were sure how it happened. One minute one of them was gently sifting flour into the bowl, the next minute another bumped their elbow while reaching for the whisk, and suddenly they and the countertop were covered in a white powdery snowstorm.
“I- I swear that wasn't supposed to happen," Iris said, putting the bowl down gently “It just… jumped.”
“It jumped,” Dahlia echoed gently. She was smiling a bit. Barry groaned, gesturing his flour-dusted hands around the three of them. “This place is a mess now!” Dahlia simply stepped forward, brushing a soft thumb across Iris's cheek. “You’ve got some flour.” Iris blushed a bit at that but smiled. Dahlia was being sweet again. Before she could say something, or more so stutter something,Barry mumbled. “Hey, what about me? I’m covered too.”
Dahlia smiled softly and walked over, kissing him on his cheek. “That you are. Looks like we should clean this up.” “and ourselves” “that too.”
So, that wanting didn't really help. Everything had become a mess, but none of them seemed disappointed at all. In fact, they all were actually calm. A happy calm. It was like they had expected this. Barry was the first to speak up after a few minutes of silence between the three after the clean up. Much to the slight amusement of his girlfriends, all he said was,

“Well, that was a disaster. Want to go watch horror movies or something instead?” Iris nodded immediately and Dahlia hugged both of them gently before they went to pick out a movie. The three had chosen to sit in a jumbled Triangle on the couch, Barry kissing the closest girl for a moment before flipping through the streaming thing he clicked on.

Iris was leaning against Barry now and was smiling slightly. She was watching as Barry flipped through the shows in the horror section. “How about this one? The Whispering Corridor? Seems spooky.” Dahlia read the description as she leaned forward. “A haunted boarding school… sounds unique.” “M- my kind of horror type of unique?” “Yes”

Barry smiled a bit but hummed again. “How about something else? We watched a ghost movie last week. I vote for a creature feature.” “oh, do you have an idea?” Barry paused but Iris took the remote gently and flipped through the movies, then stopped. Barry saw what she paused on and smiled more.

“Ah! Nice, a mushroom themed monster movie. “ Iris nodded and Dahlia smiled. “Doesn't seem too scary, lets watch it.”

The group watched the movie after Iris played the movie, they cuddled together as they did so.
