“Um, what are you doing, Mistress Frieren?”
In the middle of some kind of forest, away from civilization, two ladies could be seen together, seemingly camping together. One of the two was a young woman, around her teen years, wearing white dress, black jacket, and had purple hair with a lovely silver clip, her name was Fern, and was currently talking to her Mistress.

“I found a Grimoire about Teleportation, and I wanted to practice with it.”
Said Mistress was a silver-haired Elf, who wore simple white and black clothing, had red earrings, and wielded a unique looking magical staff, her name was Frieren, and at the moment, she was reading through a Grimoire that had teleportation spells in it.

“Oh! That actually sounds pretty useful.”
Hearing the kind of spell that the Grimoire had immediately caught Fern's attention and interest.

“Mhm, no more walking and being stuck in blizzards or deserts, now if we want to go somewhere, we'll be there with just a simple magical spell.”
Frieren agrees and explains more about the usefulness of this magic spell she was trying to learn.

“That's simply amazing, Mistress Frieren.”
Fern was honestly excited and happy with the idea, she could already imagine all the unnecessary travels they could avoid with this new teleportation magic.

“Thank you Fern.”
Frieren hums as she reads and does her research on the Grimoire very closely and carefully.

“Alright, I think I'm finally starting to understand how this spell works, I'm about to try it.”
Once Frieren read and learned everything she needed to know, she finally decided to actually test it out, holding out her magical staff and summoning a magic circle under her and her Purple Mage.

“Uh, are you sure this will be safe to use for the first time?”
Even though Fern was happy with the idea of learning teleportation, she immediately got worried once she realized they would be the first one to actually test it out.

“I wouldn't worry about it, at best the spell wouldn't work, and at worst we get teleported to somewhere we've been before.”
Frieren attempted to calm and reassure the Young Sorceress all while continuing to perform the magic spell.

“Alright, I guess that's reassuring…”
Fern could only sigh in response, still not happy to be the test subject to the Great Mage, but she trusted her.

“... Of course we could teleport somewhere completely random that we've never been before.”
That was until Frieren said something that immediately made the human magician very upset.

“MISTRESS FRIEREN!-”

“Oh, here we go.”
Unfortunately both Fern and Frieren couldn't say or do anything else, as in a flash of bright magical light, both Mages suddenly disappear.

“Do do do, deedly doo~”
Meanwhile, in some kind of workshop meant for an engineering scientist, a certain Texan wearing red, with a yellow orange helmet and goggles, was seen just relaxing, having a beer while messing with his banjo.

“Oh?”
However, the Engineer had to stop playing his Banjo when he suddenly noticed one of his broken machines, which seems to be some kind of teleporter, come to life, this definitely catches his attention and confusion, wondering why it was suddenly working again despite supposedly being broken for so long, though the only answer he got came in the form of the machine summoning two certain magic girls.

“Sooooo, good news, the teleporting magic works.”
Frieren looks around where they were, realizing that the teleportation spell worked.

“Bad news, I have no idea where we are…”
Unfortunately, Frieren had no clue on where the teleportation spell sent them.

“HMMMMMMM!!!”
It was was very clear that Fern was not exactly happy about this, and wasted no time scolding and yelling at Frieren, who looked sad to be yelled at, though as this happening, the Engineer just let out an interested and curious hum at this new turn of event.

“Now that's something you don't see everyday.”

Chapter 2: Weird Way To Say Hello

“Come on ladies, time is wasting!”
In some kind of hidden location, located in some kind of desert canyon area, a group of men in red could be seen walking together and heading towards the same location, one of them being a Jane Doe, though most just call him the Soldier, or the American Rocket.

“Sooo, what do you think Engie wants to talk about?”
The 2nd person to speak up and overall just question what's going was Jeremy Willis, though most just call him the Scout, or the Boston Runner, also he was currently eating a bucket of chicken.

“Clearly something important if he wanted to meet up with all of this.”
The 3rd person to speak and answer Jeremy's question was some kind of French Assassin, Backstabber, Cloaker, but they just call him the Spy.

“Do you think it's something bad?”
The 4th person to speak and continue questioning the situation was Mick Mundy, but they just call him the Sniper, or Australian Shooter.

“Even if it was, Heavy can take care of it.”
The 5th person spoke with confidence and thought they could handle whatever trouble that might come their way, his name was Misha Mikhail, but they just call him Heavy or Russian Weapon.

“As a fellow scientist, it might be something more, “Scientific”, if I were to guess.”
The 6th person took another guess of what might be happening, his name was Herbert Ludwig, though most just call him Medic or the German Doctor.

“If that's the case, then it's a good thing I brought some extra beers just in case.”
The 7th person was just someone who was drunk, or was planning to get drunk, his name was Tavish Finnegan DeGroot, but they just call him the Demoman, or Scottish Bomber.

“Mohmphm!~”
The 8th person didn't have a name that anyone knew, or couldn't understand, so they just called him the Pyro, aka the Fireman, the Gasmask, or the Arsonist.

“Glad you can make it, we have a bit of a problem that I need your opinion on.”
Soon the entire group entered some kind of meeting room, and met the 9th members of this entire group of Mercenaries, his name being Dr. Dell Conagher, but prefer to be called the Engineer or the Texan Mechanic.

“What kind of situation?”
Spy asked with a raised eyebrow, which just made Dell sigh in response.

“Just promised to be calm and respectful to our guest.”
Engineer rubs his face as he hopes what he was about to do next would end up well.

“Guest?”
Though before any of the Red Team could ask what Dr. Conagher meant by that, it didn't take long to explain what he meant, in the form of introducing and revealing two certain Mage.

“Hey, I'm Frieren.”
The first one to introduce themselves was the Silver Elf, Great Mage, Legendary Slayer herself, Frieren.

“And I'm Fern, pardon our intrusion.”
And the 2nd one to introduce themselves was a Purple Mage, Young Apprentice, Human Sorceress, Fern, safe it to say, no one in the Red Team was expecting to meet such unique individuals.

“... Hello good looking, want a bucket of chicken?~”
Though Scout was the first one to actually say something to them, specifically flirting and offering them a bucket of chicken.

“Oooh, thank you.”
Frieren didn't understand the flirting, however she didn't refuse some chicken legs, taking one and eating it, which she enjoyed the taste very much so.

“Pervert, go away.”
Fern on the other hand did understand that Jeremy was flirting with her and only looked at him with cold, disgusted eyes, while also refusing the chicken.

“Oh…”
Scout looked sad to be rejected so harshly, which made some of the Red Team laugh.

“So, is there a reason why you brought two women to our base?”
Spy decided to be the one to stay on topic and asked the obvious question of what was going on.

“Excuse me little miss, if you don't mind telling them what you told me?”
Engineer faced the two Mages and asked them to explain their situation.

“Of course.”
Which Frieren, who grabbed another chicken leg from Willis' bucket, took the lead in explaining what was going on.

“To put it simply, we were experimenting with a Teleportation Spell, and we accidentally ended up in this place by mistake.”
Frieren made sure to be blunt and explained everything as simple and easier to understand for everyone.

“Spell? Do you mean magic?”
Medic immediately took notice at the mention of the possibility of magic, which made him very curious and interested.

“Yes, me and Fern are both Mages, or Magic Users if it's easier to understand.”
However as soon as Frieren confirmed that both her and the Purple Mage were both magic users, someone immediately shot them with their shotgun, however the Great Mage was able to block it with a magic shield, though that didn't stop them from being startled from being suddenly attacked out of nowhere.

“THEY'RE WORKING FOR MERASMUS!”
The one responsible for attempted murder was Soldier, who saw that the shotgun didn't work and was about to pull out his Rocket Launcher, but was immediately stopped by the Texan Mechanic.

“Wait! Stop! They're Not Working For Merasmus!”
As Engineer was trying to calm down Jane, the two Mages looked confused at what they were saying.

“Merasmus?”
Frieren, who lowered her shield once realizing that everything was calming down, looked confused when they mentioned the name “Merasmus”.

“He's a Magic User like you two, while also being Soldier's former roommate.”
Spy decided to take over the conversation and speak with the two Mages, as well as explaining what was wrong with Doe.

“Oh, um, huh, that sounds random for some reason?”
For some reason, even though Fern experienced a lot, hearing that this American Rocket used to be “Roommates” with a magic user sounded “Odd” to her.

“It really is.”
Which Spy agrees with that statement.

“Judging by his reaction, I'm assuming both him and Merasmus aren't exactly on good terms?”
Frieren glanced at Soldier, who was now pouting and grumbling after having his weapon being taken away from him.

“That's putting it mildly.”
Spy sighs and rubs his temples.

“He tries to kill him, and the rest of us, every Halloween!~”
Medic went into more detail on how much of a “Bad Term” both themselves and Merasmus were on.

“Ah, I see why he wanted to kill us.”
Frieren now understood why Jane attacked them after revealing they were magic users.

“Don't sympathize, it was his fault that Merasmus hates us in the first place.”
Though Spy reassures them that they shouldn't be forced to forgive Doe so easily for almost killing them.

“I can see why.”
Fern seemed to be in a bad mood for the attempted murder.

“Though let's get back on topic, you said that you teleported here by mistake?”
Spy tries to change and bring back the original topic, specifically on how or why the two Mages were here in the first place.

“That's correct.”
Frieren again nods in conformation.

“Again, we're sorry for our intrusion, I'll be sure to scold Mistress Frieren later.”
Fern bows in apologies, as well as making sure to give the Legendary Slayer a disappointed stare, who looks sad to be scolded at.

“Nah, we get it, we've been teleported to places we weren't supposed to be in.”
Scout waves away the apologies and let them know that it was ok.

“Hey Demo, remember when you were teleported to a beer factory?”
Scout even proves his point by bringing up a memory with Tavish and his teleportation mishaps.

“It was the best day of my entire life~...”
Something Demoman admitted fondly.

“Why not port back to where you come from?”
Heavy was the next person to ask a question to the two Mages, specifically on why they couldn't just teleport back home basically.

“It's still a new spell for me, I need more practice with it before I can use it again, unless I want to end up somewhere else I'm not supposed to be in.”
Frieren gave her reasoning on why she couldn't, or more accurately shouldn't, use her teleportation spell again.

“So you're saying you need someone to take you back home?”
Though this only told Spy that these two Mages were basically stranded and needed help getting back to where they came from.

“We would also just be satisfied with being pointed in the right direction, we wouldn't want to trouble you even further than we have now.”
Fern attempted to let them know that they were OK with just finding their own way back home, not wanting to be a burden more than they already were.

“No need, we're all gentlemen here.”
But Spy insists and reassures the two Mages that it wouldn't be a problem for them.

“Sniper?”

“I'll get the Van ready.”
Sniper didn't need to be told anything by Spy before walking away to get his so-called “Van” ready, picking up a pair of keys along the way.

“Thank you for your kindness.”
Fern could only give her thanks, she made sure to make the Silver Elf to bow in thanks as well.

“Just tell us where you need to go, and we'll at least try to take you as far as we can.”

“Well, we were actually-”
But before Frieren and Fern could say anything more to the Red Team, they were all suddenly cut off by the sound of a loud alarm, flashing lights, and then the voice of an old woman speaking being heard throughout the entire base.

“RED BASE IS UNDER ATTACK!”

I already have plans and ideas, but I'm open to more suggestions on what to do with this story, also I will be adding the comic, maybe, gotta re-read it first, and see if it's finished before I can use it.
(Romance idea would be Scout x Fern and Soldier x Frieren BTW)
