Just friends, it was hard to be just friends. Especially when he was so damn charming. Smug smile, smelt great, hilarious, sweet, and those eyes. He had everything. But those eyes, they could make anyone fall head over heels. Like two glasses of whiskey with rays of honey-soaked sunlight shining through. God, you could just get lost in them, sinking into those soft golden eyes. Gabriel was just so... perfect. Sure, he might have gone and murdered your brother Dean a couple hundred times but you couldn't bring yourself to hate him for it. It's not like Dean hasn't died before. You often found yourself missing him in his absence and getting excited whenever he turned up. You wanted nothing more than just to be his, to be held in his arms, against his chest. Just friends though, you were sure you guys would never get past that point, just assuming he didn't feel the same way. You knew you wanted him, you just never realized how fast you were falling.
Sitting in the bunker one day, and the sudden sound of flapping wings interrupts your train of thought. "Heya sunshine." You turn around and see Gabriel, giving his signature smirk and carrying that same chaotic energy with him. "Hey... I missed you." You greeted, trying not to seem too happy about him being there. "Missed you too" he says, smiling a little brighter.
The next few hours was just you and Gabriel chatting away sitting next to each other and catching up. There was a moment of comfortable silence, one you were scared to break. Then his voice rang out "Hey Y/N?". You look up from where you were lying on the couch "Yeah?". You can see him hesitate, almost nervously? "You know... I really like you. And not in a brotherly way." You were stunned, almost freezing in shock "You sayin' you love me Gabriel?" you say trying your best to play it cool. "Yeah, yeah I am." he says nervously. "... I love you too." you remarked "a lot actually".
The rest of the night was spent teasing each other and just enjoying the other's presence. Then you realized all that falling just turned into fallen.
