Meet you in a Dream

Summary:

Silver, living in the forest with his father, Lillia, while also seeing Malleus pop up now and then, he was slowly taught about magic from both, while also living with the animals and playing with the nearby creatures, but suddenly he would doze off not knowing why, panicking Lilia often with his random sleeping habits, but somehow each time in this dream world he saw a boy, always a fuzzy image but a boy would stand there saying things he couldn't understand.

While on the other side in the Scalding Sands, Kalim, a young boy to famous merchants, had strange, random headaches. These random headaches caused many of his family to be concerned about him, wondering if it was the food, atmosphere, or anything, being heavily guarded just in case his headaches ended up getting worse. But to Kalim throughout these headaches, he saw someone, someone stood here, it was always fuzzy but he felt like as time passed he could slowly see who that person was.

Chapter Text

Warning: I don't own anything but the plot. Also, they may not be written correctly, like how their personalities truly are. I apologise for that in advance, and if you have any questions, ask away. But anyway, enjoy if you can. And near the end it was kind of rushed due to the time I had when writing this

A boy with unknown origins named Silver, founded by a fae called Lilia, both lived together, seeing each other as family, spending every day with each other, becoming family is everything for the two, for Silver he didn't know of the facts that he wasn't truely the faes son, the feeling of devistation ran through the fae's bones thinking about his son's reaction towards it, he never told his young son and he never knew. Even so, they still built such a strong relationship together, as well as adding another member of the family who was another fae, but between Lilia and this fae, their ages were distant apart. This other fae that had entered Silver's life was Malleus, who appeared in Silver's life, meeting Silver when he was just a baby and slowly growing a brother-like bond with each other as Silver grew older.

As Silver walked through the forest, he was following some birds through the forset, the leaves swayed, the trunks stood tall, strong and sturdy, roots coiled through the soil crossing from above to below, branches rose into the leaves which were full of different greens, from bright to dark, changing dependent on the sunlight that shone across the tree's surface.

As Silver, whose name was picked due to his silver hair, with wonderous eyes, clothed in simple, plain clothes and shoes, provided from his father, who has been his caretaker since he can barely remember, his father goes by the name of Lilia,  an old fae with pitch black hair, and deep red eyes. Silver had told his father that he wanted to explore the woods for a bit, which his father had accepted as long as he didn't go too far. Silver agreed to, ending up with this given outcome of now.

He knew his way through the forest since he lived nearby in a small cottage with his father, while also enjoying exploring it now and then when he wasn't being trained by his father, or doing a specific thing on that day, he was free today, not anything that he was needed for or any training for today.

Small cooing noises could be heard as we were brought back to what Silver's initial purpose was: to follow some birds. He had succeeded with that task of finding where the birds had taken him and themselves to which was a nest high up in the tall branches. The nest was ready, well-made and sturdy, and it looked like it would be unbreakable.

But something today didn't feel right to him; everything was too peaceful, everything was calm, too calm, everything felt normal, too normal. He didn't know what could happen to him, a young boy who just wants to adventure. He hadn't thought of these probabilities, only adventure in mind, and the interests of the forest surrounding him.

Then a sudden urge of drozy came to him, hit felt like he was hit with a wave of an unknown force against him, as he leaned against the nearest tree in his peripheral, he didn't feel right, he felt like his legs were giving out, that he could collapse at any second, any minute, he would just fall to the ground, the urge to fall asleep was like he ran into a brick wall. Wanting to resist this new urge, he clawed his hands onto the trunk of a tree. He couldn't hear a thing anymore; it all felt like white noise to him. The scene of birds fleeing their nests passed by his view with just a blink, the clear green leaves became a pure blur, and the trunk of the tree was losing its textured look; the feeling on his fingers was there, but the senses of his eyes could not detect the rough lining of the wood against his fingers. His sense of taste was numbing, not tasting even the saliva in his mouth, and the air around him felt thick, like it was placed in water, and slowly was sinking deeper and deeper into the dark pool of water called sleep.

Fighting this urge as hard as he could, he used trunk after trunk supporting his weight as he tried to find his way back to the cottage, trying to find his way back to Lilia, trying to find his way back home, but as thhings started drifting apart, vision become to hazy for him to tell what could be what, he was slowly reaching his limit, but he wanted to make it home, he just couldn't understand why this was happening all of a sudden. A hand went through his silver locks, cold sweat appeared on his face, heavy breathing as he exhaled and inhaled, and he felt like his lungs were filling with water.

Then, with that second, he finally let go of what resistance he had left and fell against the tree. He was defeated by sleep and ended up falling victim to the relief of sleep. Falls asleep in who knows where, as tree after tree surrounded him like camouflage, animals had distanced from him since they had sensed some danger could be spewing around there, not wanting to get hurt, the calm trees now lurked over him looking like they would attack at any moment, or could they be protecting this unconscious soul?

When Silver opened his eyes, they burst open in horror, falling victim to sleep he was worried that his father would be worried, but to his surpsise he wasn't in the woods anymore, he had ended up somwhere else, the place was pitch black and there was no visbile floor, wall or roof around him, he stared at his given sceneery than had a check for himself, two hands, whole body, head, two eyes, nose, two ears, mouth, hair, neck, body, limbs, feet, they were all there on him, still clothed in what he had set out in before departing form the world of awake.

But his feet weren't touching the ground, or the pitch black floor that he was expecting to be there, but there was nothing there to stand on but he seemed his body was find, he felt no motion of falling or any force on his body at all, he was perfectly fine, he felt like he was flaoting in an unknown empty abyss, he couldn't understand what he was there for or why he was there, but he didn't know how to leave, could he be trapped here? He hoped not; he wanted to get back to his father as fast as he could.

He then tried to see if he could move his body to its full extent like a normal body when you're awake, which was just a normal walk around, which had succeeded, making the silver-haired boy hopeful, maybe he would be able to escape whatever body he is in. He then started running, maybe picking up the pace could lead him somewhere. He didn't know where, but anywhere is better than an empty abyss.

But after several minutes, well, to him it felt like several minutes, he didn't know if time was even flowing where he was, if he was truly moving anywhere was questionable, but he felt like the answer was clearer than a clear sky; no exit could be found. He couldn't be truly stuck here, could he? He didn't want that; he needed to get out no matter what. The feeling of stress and anxiety kicked in like a jab to the stomach, and questions of "What ifs" and "Why" appeared frequently in his mind. So frequent it was, the only thing you could hear in his head, everything was so confusing to the young boy, he was just wondering and minding his own business. Did he end up walking into some unknown trap that he didn't even know of?

He felt so alone, for the first time in his life he felt the feeling of lonelinessliness, the fear of not seeing people that he cared for again, he was scared that he will never be able to go home, never be able to adventure again, or even do anything, forever trapped in this unknown abyss, it scared him so much, hot tears swelled up in his eyes that they started slowly poouring down his face, falling to his knees as he sat on this air space abyss placing his knees close to his chest as he lowered his head onto his knees and wrapping his arms around his knees. This lonely feeling didn't leave him and was so suffocating to this young boy that he felt desperate for almost any miracle that would gladly come his way to help him through this.

While Silver sat in solitude, another boy who was the same age as the boy in another area of the map was having similar symptoms.

A young boy who goes by the name of Kalim also known as the son of the merchants, part of the Asim family, and the first son of the very family, known far and wide through out many others on the map but specifically the Scalding Sands, famous for their riches, wealth and their status, having a large home the size of a mansion, living in there were the Asim family, the parents and the many siblings and yet to come. While also housing servants of many, a known servant was the one who served Kalim, being a boy who was the same age as Kalim, called Jamil. He had been serving Kalim for a few years now and was his number one servant, to Kalim, while also being a great servant known throughout the Asim home.

Kalim would wander through the markets with a joyful smile on his face, different stalls full of new juicy foods such as fruits, meat or even vegetables, but while those were the norm around the market some different stalls would pop up such as stalls for specifc items like jewlery, the adverage items which would be sold off at higher or lower prices, there were simply so many things at once it could feel overwhelming to a new person going through the stalls scine almost everyone wants a customers attentions so they can get riches off the customers. But for Kalim, this was natural to him, seeing the yelling of a marketer, the smell of amazing food, the shine of different jewellery; it was all something he adored and loved whenever he could get out of the house. For him, getting out was amazing, since he always felt like a caged bird inside his household for too long; he loves it and everyone inside of it, but it gets exhausting not being able to go out and explore.

The idea of exploring around was the best part of going out, finding new things, new items, new knowledge; he didn't care what it was, it was new to him, and he loved it. Sadly, he couldn't be left going out unattended since they had a history of attempts towards Kalim, through either poisoning or murder attempts, even as a young boy, he had come across these types of things, making it hard for the family to trust Kalim's safety without a servant nearby. His life was crucial for the family to carry on their legacy and wealth, so Kalim's life was a must to have around. Lucky for the family Kalim would happily go out with servants even though he would rather go alone, but when he was allowed to have Jamil come with him to the outsdie, he felt exremetly happy, having a friend with him made going out more enjoyable than being by himself since he could talk about these random stuff with jamil when ever and he gets to do this with someone, sharing an experience with a friend made everything way more fun.

Back to Kamil who was going to one stall after another with Jamil watching him like a hawk, but something diddn't sit right with Jaiml that day, everything went well, too well, the air around them was just perfect no extremely driness, the loud yelling wasn't painful to the ear, everything went by so smoothly it didn't feel right to Jamil, it felt like today wasn't going to be right no matter how much he sits on the question he won't get any yanswers until something happens. Jamil made sure to pay attention to Kalim as much as he could, not taking an eye off him for even a second. Kalim didn't question these circumstances that were held before him, since to him, he thought this was just a normal day of adventuring.

Within that very second, Kalim felt a quickly and silent shock to his head, it was sharp as well as quick not even staying for even a second but this shock caused Kalim to stumble at his own feet, placing a hand to spikey white hair whhich was held up by a bandana, this one sudden stumble alerted Jamil to his side asking questions of "Are you alright?" or "Are you ok?" The feeling of responsibility was written all over Jamil's face. Kalim brushed off the shock he had felt as just him feeling fine and that nothing was wrong with him, with just a large smile like nothing had happened. Jamil sighed, looking at his master, not trusting a single word that Kalim spoke of.

But not even a second later, another shock filtered into Kalim's head, causing another stumble in his movements. His hand went straight back to his head, as one eye closed through the wincing of the pain in his head. He didn't know what was happening, but one after another, a shock appeared in his head; it felt like electricity was being shot into his own mind. He couldn't handle the sudden sharp pains, and in that very moment of yelling from Jamil collapsed onto the street of the market.

After the pain eased up, Kalim was able to open his eyes to a world fully pitch black. Stunned and amazed by this scenario in front of him, he started looking around and yelling into the void to see if anything was even in there. But no response came back to him. Being the curious boy he was, he started to look around in the void from noticing his floating position above no floor, but he ran around like it was normal. No ground to run on, but was still able to run.  It felt like a whole new world to him, something so new and so interesting, even if it was pitch black void, he wanted to explore it immediately.

But then the memory of Jamil, and his family flashed beofre his eyes putting a feeling of worry towards him, wondering on if they are okay or if they know that he is here, he didn't know anything other than the void aorund him, so he decided that was a worry for another time so thestarted running through te void as far as he could, even if he wasn't moving the experience was knew to him. Something he adored.

Several minutes later, well he thinks it was minutes, but he didn't find anything, so he stood still in the void, he liked this new adventure but the fact that there wasn't much to do or even a way to get out he felt so unsure on what to do now, thinking back to Jamil and thinking about Jamil since between the two Kalim always admits that Jamil was the smarter one between the two, wishing he could get assistance form Jamil would of been great about now, like a cluew or that he an answer for this.

He felt like giving up, but he didn't want to give up until he had at least more of a go, so he decided to set out once again, determined to find a way out. Well before he even started this new run, he heard soft noises. The immediate that he picked that noise up, it gave him a sign that there was someone or something that could be found here; he wanted to know where the sound originated from. He wanted to find it so he could feel some reassurance that he wasn't doing this alone. So he set his sights on the noise, following it every time he could pick up its direction; he ran there. When he heard the noise become louder, it told him that he was actually moving and not just running for nothing. He has a destination to go to, and once he sets his mind on it, he will set out to do that one thing.

Once again, after a few more minutes of travelling, he came across something blurry in the distance. He couldn't see what it was; the thing there looked human, but he still couldn't make out the figure, even when he walked closer and closer to the thing in front of him. As he finally stood right in front of the thing, he spoke up, "Hey there!"

Whle to Kalim this thing in front of him was fuzzy there sat was the young silver hair boy, but to Silver the voice that spoke out to him wasn't clear to him he couldn't see the thing that spoke to him just a blurry image of something there, the instance he saw it, it made him jump from his tucked in position and moved away from it not knowing what it was. The voice that came out sounded human, but being here could be something else.

"W-what are you?" Silver asked

"Huh, what do you mean?" Kalim asked in confusion as he stared at his blurry figure in front of him, feeling an emotion of excitement as he heard those words come out. He was meeting someone new, and this also meant he wasn't alone in here. He felt relieved when he heard those words. "What do you mean?"

"Oh... umm never mind," Silver spoke, the voice coming from the blurry figure in front of him was so positive, the voice was so happy and excited, it worried Silver, not knowing if this was truly a person or not, but his father told him not to trust strangers, so he would take his father's words on that.

"Oh! What was that noise you were making?" Kalim asked

"U-umm.. noise?"

"Yeah, I heard a noise which led me right to you!" Kalim spoke, a large smile grew on his face, feeling proud that he had found the blurry figure

"I think that was me crying?" Silver answered

"Oh! Why were you crying?" Kalim asked with true worry in his voice

"I-I'm scared, and I want to go home," Silver said

"Have you also been lost in here?"

"Yeah..."

"Well, same here! I somehow got here when I blacked out when I felt a sharp pain in my head! What about you?" Kalim asked

"A sharp pain?" Silver repeated

"Yep! A sharp pain felt like I was hit with electricity!" Kalim said

"Are you ok?" Silver asked, worried as he looked at his blurry figure in front of him, he knew he shouldn't trust strangers, but the friendly voice and the open words felt almost like he could trust this figure. But what if it was something that was trying to get him?

"Yep! I'm fine now!" Kalim answered, still holding on to that large smile on his face

"Well, how I got here was that I fell asleep, well, it felt more forced asleep," Silver answered the last question from Kalim

"So that does mean we're sharing a dream?"

"Sharing a dream..."

"That's so cool! Oh yeah, I'm Kalim!" Kalim announced, "Nice to meet you!"

"N-nice to meet you, I'm Silver,"

"Such a cool name!"

"Thank you, Father named me."

"So cool!"

"So if this is a dream... do you know how to wake up?" Kalim asked, "This is a cool place, but I really should be getting back."

"Same here, I want to get back to my father and my home, but I'm unsure how to go home as well," Silver said

"Ah, that's annoying, all well! We'll just have to find a way out."

"You sound so optimistic,"

"Is that a bad thing?"

"No, I think it's a good thing, it... Makes me happier to have someone like you around," Silver said

"Yay! Does this mean we're friends?" Kalim asked extremely ecstatic

"Sure,"

"Yay! I can't wait to tell mother, father and Jamil about this!"

"Would they believe you?"

"Hmm, guess not, but all well!"

"Do you know any ways to wake someone up?" Silver asked as he stared at his blurred friend

"Hmm, how about I think I heard about waking people up by hurting themselves," Kalim answered

"Really? How hard would I have to hurt myself, though?" Silver asked

"No idea, but let's give it a try! How about you unch me and I punch you?"

"I guess that will work, but I don't think my aim will be well, since to me I can't see you," Silver admitted

"Oh, wait, do you also see a blurry figure?"

"Yes,"

"Oh! So does that mean we can't see each other?"

"I believe so,"

"Huh, well then let's give it a go!" Kalim yelled out. Silver gives a silent nod and stands up as they get into position

"Hold on, can we even harm each other? Or ourselves?" Silver asked

"Huh, I never thought about that," Kalim then slapped his hands against his cheek, but it went right through, "Waoh! No way I can't hurt myself!"

Silver did a similar thing and ended up getting the same result: "I can't hurt myself as well."

"Then let's try each other!" Kalim is getting back into position, as well as Silver, giving each other a build-up up then a countdown from 3 to 1. They tried to punch each other, but it didn't work.

"No way it didn't work!" Kalim groaned

"What about magic?" Silver asked

"Oh yeah, let's try it!"

Kalim then tried using his magic, but it seemed weakened in this void, "Barely." Silver then gave it a go, trying his magic out, also getting a similar result. "Same over here," Silver spoke, then sighed, "Hmm, how about we try together?" Kalim asked. "That could work, "Silver muttered, "Yeah, let's try that, just extend your hand and use magic, then I'll add mine with yours," Silver said. With that, Kalim extended his hands, summoning his magic into his hands, then Silver placed his hands above Kalim's hands and used his magic, infusing the two magics together. As the power of the two fused together bright light came bursting out of it, cleansing the void from the pitch black colour and turning it to white. That was when, suddenly, the two started to fade from this so-called void.

"Huh? Are we waking up?" Kalim asked, looking at Silver, "Thank you for everything, Silver!"

"Thank you, Kalim. I couldn't have done this without you," Silver said

"Let's find each other again!" Kalim said

"Yeah, I would like that as well."

"Goodbye, Silver!"

"Goodbye, Kalim,"

As Silver went back to reality, he woke up feeling soft, warm covers over his body, and something similar but larger under his body. As his eyes slowly fluttered open, there sat Lilia on a chair next to his bed, face full of worry, "Silver!" Lilia yelled as Silver sat up Lilia pulled him into a hug, giving Silver a wake-up shock. He felt his father's hands wrapped around him, and Malleus was standing behind Lilia, with a face of relief when seeing Silveer awake from his slumber. "What happened!? Tell me everything! Why were you passed out against a tree? What had caused this!? Were you attacked? Were you placed under a spell!?" Lilia was shooting Questions as he shook the poor boy in his arms.

"Lilia, you do not need to shake the human too hard; he had just woken from his slumber, he will not be able to answer your questions with just a woken human without re-adjusting to his surroundings," Malleus spoke up

"Right, right," Lilia then stopped shaking Silver around, "I'm just happy you're back, Silveer." With that very moment, Silver buried his face into Lilia's shoulder, letting hot tears crawl down his face. He felt so relieved seeing his father once again; he felt everything in his body drop. He was so happy to be back.

After a few minutes of recovering from the slumber that Silver was put through, he then described to Malleus and Lilia about what had happened before his slumber, then spoke of the endless void of pitch black that he was encaged in, and finally talked about a boy he met in there.

"How strange, how would falling asleep end up in such a place?" Lilia questioned, he placed a hand to his chin, "I'll have to look up about this whenever I can, but now that you're awake, I'm not letting you sleep a wink, you worried me enough with this slumber, so I would rather have you awake knowing you won't leave me to some unknown place again."

Silver nodded he also didn't want to sleep again, it was a rolarcoaster of emotions that he felt in those very moments and he would rather be with the poeple he knew and trustsedtahn be in a place he oculnd't find a way out, well he did find a way yout but who knows if Kalim would be there to help him?

While with Kalim, when he finally woke up, he was placed in his soft covers, sheets and pillows. He woke up in the comfort of his home, servants watching over him, especially Jamil, his mother, father and a few other siblings, all worried about him and the random slumber he was in. When they saw his soken expression the siblings instantly pounced at him in hugs welcoming him back to reality which made Kalim giggle in joy and smiles, while his mother and father both wore faces of relieve, as well as Jamil who though didn't show this emotion was feeling relieved to see that Kalim was ok, not wanting any punishment that could happen if he had messed up in that senaro scared him.

Thousands of questions came at him at once from at least everyone in the family, each asking questions of "Are you ok?" or "What happened?" Everyone asked questions, but Kalim could barely answer, so his father and mother had to hush their children to be quiet so that Kalim could answer their very questions. He gave his response to them, as well as telling them of his adventure into the void and meeting a boy named Silver. He tried not to talk about the shocking pain he had felt towards the many children in the room, not wanting them to feel worried aobut him, but also didn't want everyone to worry about him about that; he was just happy to be back.
