Joey held the brush to his face, adding black circles around his eye. He winced so he couldn't accidentally go over his eyeball. All the commotion from the eight other men had been tuned out as the drummer finished applying the makeup and moved onto the other eye. It's not perfect. It's not supposed to be perfect. It's just to make his eyes stand out more from behind the mask.
He stood in front of the mirror, humming no specific tune, when he felt someone standing behind him. Nothing to be paranoid about, until he felt a pair of cold hands slither into his unzipped jumpsuit. That sudden icey feeling on his chest made him yelp and jump in shock, nearly dropping whatever he was holding. Some of the other guys noticed the event and started laughing. Joey jerked his head back to see the crook who dared to scare him, only to find that it was Heather. She was having a giggle fit while holding him from behind and crouching so she couldn't be seen easily.
"Oh, you little shit!" Joey exclaimed playfully at Heather. He snaked his arms around her and tickled her sides. Heather screamed or squealed, I don't know. But she was desperately trying to free herself from her boyfriend's evil grasp, all while laughing so hard she was tearing up. "AAAAAGGGHHAHAHA! STOP IT! STOP IT!"
"That's what'cha get for touching me with those cold fucking hands of yours!" Joey pulled away from Heather, letting her catch her breath, before she collapsed in his arms. The two wrapped their arms around each other, smiling and standing there in silence for a bit. Heather planted a kiss on Joey's cheek, lingering a bit before resting her head on his shoulder.
"I can finish your eyeshadow real quick..."
Joey perked up at her request. I mean, there's not that much left to be done. "Really?" He looked down at Heather. She nodded. Joey smiled, reaching for his stuff. "Okay, you can."
Heather, still smiling, pulled away from Joey and grabbed the eyeshadow and brush. She lightly dabbed the brush on the pallet and moved it to Joey's untouched eyelid, painting it black. Her free hand steadied on his cheek to bring his face just a bit closer so she doesn't miss a spot, blushing as she saw Joey lean into her touch.
"Heh...cutie..." Heather grinned like an idiot. She reapplied the eyeshadow onto the brush and got at places she missed previously. The brush ran under and around Joey's eye. Heather did a recoat of the base before pulling away. "Lemme uh, see if I need to touch up..." she stated vaguely. Joey opened his eyes. Heather noticed an empty spot under his pretty eyelashes. "Look up for a moment."
"Aaannnddd...Done!" Heather placed the products back on the sink, looking back up to see Joey checking the look in the mirror. "Do you like it? Joey-" She was cut off when Joey's lips pressed against her's, quickly pulling back. "It looks great, doll~." he responded, caressing her cheek and flustering her. He placed his hands onto her sides and pulled her into another kiss. Heather reciprocated, running her hand through his damp hair. It was sweet; the experience.
"Mmm...Cherry?" Joey murmured against Heather's lips, referring to the lipgloss.
"Heh, you noticed."
"Tastes amazing..."
Their lips met again, but not for long.
"Hey, lovebirds! We got a show in five minutes!" It was Paul. His mask was risen up a bit so he could be heard.
Heather heard Joey whisper "shit" before quickly zipping up his jumpsuit and pulling down and readjusting his kabuki mask. "I'll see you after the show, doll," he said, pulling her into a quick hug, to which she reciprocated. Heather giggled as he ruffled her thick hair. They separated, and Heather watched as Joey speedwalked towards everyone else. She stared off towards them for a moment before walking off towards a different direction. She'll be watching the band from the sidelines.
