Remus did just about everything on his planet. From selling crops, trading goods, helping out other aliens, to even being a hitman. He's been doing it all for years and never had any complaints that others relied on him when they needed something especially since he's getting paid for it. Besides, it helped him get by and only continued to make him one step closer to finding his brother. The half-human half-octo alien just finished a job in an area he's never been to before and was currently walking around and looking to see if there were any new clues nearby until his stomach suddenly growled. "Shit! I knew I should've ate my stash before leaving! There's gotta be something to eat around here..." Remus took out his binoculars from his vest and scanned the area hoping to find at least a supermarket but was both surprised and relieved to find a diner not too far away. "They have a diner here but not even a club near home? Unbelievable the priorities on this planet!" Remus shook his head and quickly made his way to the place and went inside causing the bell on top of the door to ring.
"Be with you in a second! You can pick any seat you like!" A welcoming voice called from inside the kitchen. Remus nodded to himself and sat at the bar stool area and looked around the place. He knew the diner would be nice inside but he didn't expect it to be this nice. There was a jukebox in the corner of the room, a couple of people chatting at booths, nostalgic wall displays, delicious desserts and pastries in glass dessert holders, and even a few TVs hung up, it was just like being on Earth.
"Sorry about the wait! I'm Patton and I'll be your server today! What can I get you started with?"
"You're fi-" Remus immediately went wide eyed once he turned around to see the waiter. Sure he's seen some cute guys on the planet over the years but he knew this one single-handedly beat them all. He had Turquoise hair with lilypad flowers in it, circular glasses, white freckles and the most prettiest yellow eyes the half octo alien has ever seen. It was clear that Patton was a Frog alien. "Is giving me a heart boner and probing me on the menu cause you're already doing one of those things?" Remus playfully asked which made Patton giggle, ribbit, and blush.
"Unfortunately no but I can start off by getting you something in your system."
"A Root Beer smoothie is also nice." Remus chuckled which made Patton giggle and ribbit again in return. "Coming right up Handsome~" The Frog alien playfully winked as he walked to the drink machine area which made Remus blush. If that didn't make him even more down bad he didn't know what would. "So... What's a human like you doing in a place like this?" Patton asked curiously while making Remus' smoothie. "Half." Remus corrected. "But I don't know maybe I just wanted to stop by and have an excuse to see a cutie like you everyday~" Remus smirked wiggling his eyebrows as he showed off his tentacles coming out of his back. "Are you always this forward with your waiters?" Patton teased. "Not always just the ones I know that want me to be~" Remus playfully winked which caused Patton to blush, ribbit, and giggle.
"Seriously though are you from around here?"
"Kind of? I'm actually from two towns over and surprisingly never been here before but I just finished a job so that's why I was in the area." Remus explained as Patton gave him his order. "Wait you're Remus right? I've heard so much about you!" "In the flesh and hopefully they were good things cause I'd hate for rumors to ruin my shot with you." The mustached half octo alien teased which made the waiter giggle and ribbit. "Of course they were! It's really nice what you're doing with helping others on our planet." "It's nothing if anything helping them helps me more." Remus waved off as he drank his smoothie.
"How so if you don't mind me asking?"
"Well for one other than the fact that I get paid, my brother and I got separated when we were younger due to an incident involving another alien and our parents and I've been determined ever since to find him so each place gives me a spot to look for new clues."
"Oh... I'm sorry..." Patton apologized unknowingly putting his hand on top of Remus' which made the mustached half octo alien shake his head and hold the waiter's hand. "Don't be... I know he's out there and I'm gonna find him and I won't stop looking even if he's on Earth." "You will... I never met someone so caring." Patton smiled softly which made Remus do the same as he interlocked his fingers with the waiter. "I try to be." Patton smiled wider at that but it didn't take long for a thought to cross his mind that made him have a hesitant look as if he wanted to ask something. "What's up?" "I... I know we just met and all but maybe I can come along and help you find your brother or at least help find some more clues? I'm off tomorrow but if it's too soon and weird then it's perfectly alright!" "You think I'm gonna turn down an excuse to go on a long journey with a cutie like you? I'd be a dumbass if I did! Of course you can come with!" Remus teased. "Really?" "Of course! I'll need all the help I can get and besides I'll take it as a date~" Remus smirked as he kissed Patton's hand causing the light Blue polo wearing Frog alien to blush deeply. "I'd like that." "Good." Remus booped Patton's nose which made him giggle and ribbit. "I should get going... How much for the smoothie?" "Don't even worry about it's on the house and take these as a thank you for all you do!" Patton said giving Remus a bag of desserts.
'Hot and giving me free food!? I just hit the jackpot!'
"Thanks now does this also come with your number or?" The mustached half octo alien teased to which Patton kissed his cheek causing him to blush deeply.
"In the bag... Talk later?"
"Definitely." And with that and a wave goodbye Remus took his stuff and happily sighed once he got outside.
"Oh he's so into me."
