Chapter Text
"Okay, this is uhh... it?"
There the Hazbin Hotel was, in all its glory. It had been a week since everyone in Hell rose up against Vox and saved all Heaven and Hell from the Might of Lilith. Slightly anxious, the sinner, a beautiful and charming lady, stepped into the Hotel.
Anxiety was building up as always. After all, she's still unsure if the Hotel will accept a serial killer like her, despite everything.
Well, at least she wants to be redeemed. And Charlie seems 100% goofy from her speedrun to insanity in that special.
But what if she makes a deal that she'd never get out of?
"It's alright", she thought, "Just come on in, take a key, everything is going to be alright!"
Everything is going to be alright...
NOPE, everything is not going to be alright. Sinners are everywhere, excited to redeem themselves and ascend to Heaven. Glass shards splatter everywhere as the bartender crashes out for probably the third time this week.
"Hahah... hi? Is this the-"
"Why, hello, dear! Welcome! I'm sure you will have a fun time failing over and over again to be redeemed! What's your name?", said Alastor, who seemingly appeared out of thin air.
Everything is 100% NOT going to be alright. First day in the hotel and the Radio Demon, Alastor, already taken notice of you? What's next? Your soul is in the hands of someone more sinister? Like, sure, you've killed people out of bloodlust, but Alastor is way worse than her. He's killed people for entertainment, and loved the screams of fallen overlords.
She'd spent about eight decades fearful of this enigmatic demon, and him no longer held back by his previous deals made him even more menacing than ever before.
"Haha... I uhh... want to... walk my fish!-"
"Did someone say, FISH?!"
The sinner turned to another sinner, waving at her. He resembled some form of fish bowl.
"FIN-TASTIC!!! Name's Finn, and you?"
"Uhh... Bailey? Yeah... not really an interesting name-"
"What a delightful and charming name, rings a bell, hahaha!", Alastor interjected.
Great, now Alastor knows your name. Your day couldn't get any worse... aside from that almost zig-zag line and Lucifer casually walking around like it's nothing.
"Welcome, Bailey, to the HAZBIN HOTEL!", chirped Charlie.
"Oh uhh... hi! Haha..."
Well, at least Charlie Morningstar seems nice. After all, she passed everyone here a little schedule for all the Hotel activities this week, putting everyone one step closer to redemption!... Well, at least Sir Pentious got redeemed. That gallery seemed way emptier than Bailey thought.
"Ok, first night at the Hotel... doesn't seem that bad, to be honest?"
It was perfect. The room, everything, all tailored to her tastes and preferences. A beautiful flower bed in the middle, with indoor gardens and rosy lights. An aromatic smell drifted through Bailey's room.
A perfect end to one's day-
A thunderous boom can be heard from downstairs, jolting Bailey up. That is certainly not how she wanted the day to end.
Curious, she walked down the aisles, holding her only weapon: a basket.
"So, is this that angel-killing place? Huh, looks pretty mediocre to the LIGHTNING!"
"Ok, first of all, we are not here to kill angels, this is a place for redemption, got it?", Charlie reminded Lightning
"...BUT I SWORE, YOU... I-"
"If you're here to slay angels then you came to the wrong place,"
"Ok, thank goodness Vaggi stepped in", Bailey muttered to herself, "Please don't get any worse..."
Well, Lightning is still obviously there. Not moving an inch out of this place. And he's starting to get a little upset. Without thinking, Bailey rushed down to intervene, hopefully trying to console him... And great, he's at the bar, probably harassing the bartender, again.
"Come on dude! Quit playing cards with probably your "favourite patron" and FUCKING SERVE LIGHTNING A PROTEIN SHAKE OR SOMETHING!"
"You wanna be rude, you feeble-minded dipshit? Bark at me, I dare you,"
"Ehh... can anyone do something about it? I'm not really into conflicts-", said some person with a magic hat as a head
"Well things got fucking interesting around here!", said some one-eyed freak in the lounge.
"WELL, IT'S EITHER MY FUCKING SHAKE OR YOU'RE GETTING LIGHTNING'S FIST, STUPID DOMESTICATED SHIT-"
"OK, STOP IT YOU TWO!"
Suddenly, the atmosphere quickly fell into a dead silence. There the magic hat guy was, breathing heavily as if he's reached his limits. Intrigued, Bailey walked down to the lobby, trying to get a better view of the whole situation, as more Sinners crowded around the bar for the tea.
"Alright, so... Husk, can you give my electricity-powered friend a... Harder Daddy? And don't worry, I can handle him if he tries anything-", said another Sinner, with a pumpkin head.
"UGH FINE... Lightning's still here to slay angels... and well, collect souls-"
"Haha... what?"
Husk shows a look of concern at the thunderbolt, while the other sinner shifts himself one seat to the left.
"Yeah, bro!", Lightning answered and explained, "You know, Lightning's an up and coming... uhh... Overlord here, ya know!"
"Well, quite a daring move if you ask me", Alastor replied, "After all, your tiny head can't even comprehend a-"
"OH, so you wanna throw hands with the Lightning, you..."
Bailey was unable to comprehend how the thunderbolt/self-proclaimed Overlord
"LIGHTNING, NO," Husk shouted, at the top of his lungs.
"OH? AND WHY IS THAT SO?", Lightning retorted back, defensive.
"OH! So, the wannabe Overlord wants to fight ₮ⱧɆ Ɽ₳ĐłØ ĐɆ₥Ø₦?", Alastor clapped back, tauntingly.
Surprisingly, Lightning looks at Alastor, a little confused.
"What Radio Demon?"
Suddenly, demonic tentacles charged at Lightning like vicious snakes. On guard, and slightly pissed, Lightning dodged the tentacles and charged at Alastor, leaping at the Overlord with a fist charged with electricity... before getting caught mid-air by another.
"GAHAHAHA, pathetic! Seems like you're no match, hahaha!"
Lightning growls as loud as a thundercloud's roar, ready to give it his all to even lay one punch on Alastor's cocky face. Amused, Alastor slammed Lightning all over the place, as his screams of pain and anger flooded the lobby of this tacky hotel. Soon, after a few rounds of trashing, Lightning was on his last legs, somehow not backing out.
"Oh! You're still alive?"
"Yeah... and Lightning's gonna DESTROY YOU ONCE HE GETS THE CHANCE"
"AHAHAHAH, I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY!"
Alastor cackled as he was about to kill Lightning (temporarily) with all his demonic might. Without thinking twice, Bailey jumped in-between the two, trying to get them to stop, screaming at them to "please stop fighting". Intrigued, Alastor quickly stopped his attacks, sparing the young sinner's life.
"Oh uhh... thanks, who are you again, dude?"
"Ahahah... Bailey. Nice to meet you... uhh, Lightning..."
"Oh, Lightning, just because you somehow acquired a soul or two, ĐØɆ₴ ₦Ø₮ ₥Ɇ₳₦ ɎØɄ Ⱨ₳VɆ ₮ⱧɆ ₱Ø₩ɆⱤ ł₮ ₮₳₭Ɇ₴-"
"Let me cut to the chase. If you are NOT here for redemption or whatever, GET OUT", Husk interrupted, slightly frustrated.
"B... BUT, uhh... is Lightning able to take a job here-"
"Ohoho, you, wanting a job? Hah, PATHETIC! But if you're actually serious, you're going to have to talk to Vaggi,"
Alastor pushes Lightning away like a hockey puck, leaving the rest of the Sinners confused.
"...You know, he kinda does... remind me of someone?", Husk remarked.
"Who?", asked Bailey.
"...Angel Dust?"
"Who's that- oh... yeah, I don't really watch his movies that much, but they're surely... interesting! Haha!"
Husk and Bailey chatted with each other for quite some time... before Lightning rushed back, excited and jumpy
"GUYS, GUYS! LIGHTNING'S STAYING AT THIS HOTEL!!!"
"H... hold on, WHAT?!", Husk asked, surprised.
"Yeah, Lightning could act as uhh... security? In case anyone tries to harm or attack anyone here, you know?-"
"Heh, I could do that way better than you, but please! I'd like to see you try," Alastor remarked snarkily.
...Well, at least things can't be that bad. After all, your first activity is... getting to know everyone around you better.
Things will really be stressful for Bailey, especially when it comes to hiding her life on Earth.
