What does Tokoyami Fumikage do during a day off?
When there's no hero classes, no intense training sessions, no evil enemy to fight out?
Christmas is drawing close, and both Bonnie and Tokoyami got a day off their duties. Last night, she got a call from him, something which was unusual due to his quiet demeanor, and even the more strange, he invited her to go see the Christmas arrangements around the town! Although Christmas is not his favorite time of the year because it's too bright, Tokoyami still invited Bonnie out because it seems like a fun date, so he told her, and she accepted in a heartbeat because of course spending time by his side is fun!
The couple met a half hour after noon, after each of them had lunch separately. Tokoyami showed up wearing his usual dark shirt and pants under an overall cape, while Bonnie dressed up with clothes of her favorite color. It was a sunny day, despite it being winter, so the temperature was just right for a leisurely day.
A bakery, a toy store, a bank, a park, every ordinary place is now adorned with Christmas-themed decorations, and every place was a place worth stopping by to notice their every detail. Bonnie also certified to take numerous photos along the entire date, which rendered fun shots of Tokoyami interacting with the decor, including having fake snow made out of soap bubbles sprinkled over his head, and posing with the various Santas they met along, she also took a few selfies framing the couple.
While taking a break time, Tokoyami bought two candy apples, one for each, just to be expected of him since apples were his favorite food. The couple sat at a bench to eat at their own pace and watched as the golden hour passed by, the Sun fell behind the building landscape and the Christmas lights got turned on all over the place.
As the couple walked through some more spots and enjoyed the twinkling bright decorations, a few hours later it was dinner time. After debating what to have for dinner, the two of them decided to go with a huge and succulent pizza. A simple but tasty choice.
Before heading back to their headquarters and ending the date, Tokoyami surprised Bonnie by telling her he brought a Christmas gift for her! From under his cape, he produced a gift box, where did he get that from? Was it Dark Shadow who held onto it all along? It caught Bonnie unprepared because she did not decide a gift for Tokoyami yet! He told her not to open it until Christmas though, so Bonnie headed back with the wrapped up gift under her arm and a mission to find an appropriate gift for him. There's a few days left for Christmas and a promise to meet again soon!
