Chapter 1: The First Try

Chapter Text

It was a cold winter night, Abaddon was looking for Nathan. He heard the fire roaring in the TV room.

"Nathan!?" He hears the sound of a bottle being opened.

Found him.

He walked over to see Nathan sitting in his chair, hunched over what looked like a small bottle and what sounded like crying.

"Nathan? Why do you weep?" Abaddon asked, not really knowing how to help or make this worse.

"Abi, bud, I don't know how I can go on. My sister hates me, my parents don't talk to me, and I don't really have any friends. Who am I kidding, yo probably don't wanna hear it. You can go play bud, there's candy in the kitchen." Nathan said, his voice shaking as he spoke. His eyes were filled with sadness and anger.

Abaddon didn't have anything to say but he knew he couldn't leave Nathan alone, plus his vessel felt weirder than usual. So he just sat at Nathan's feet. Not wanting to leave him, he leans against his legs and suddenly his eyes start to feel droopy. Nathan was genuinely surprised to see the demon sitting at his feet. Abaddon was the demon that brought him a mans arm one time.

"What the hell?"

Abaddon eventually falls asleep and goes limp against Nathan legs. Nathan sets the pills down and decides to snap a picture of Abi sleeping. But the flash is on, Abaddon almost wakes up but doesn't. Nathan finally gets a picture of Abaddon.

He realizes how much of a son Abaddon is to him. Tears stream down Nathan's red cheeks. He picks Abaddon up and sits him in his lap, his buries his face in Abaddon's hair, his holds him as his tears wet Abaddon's hair.

"By boy, my baby boy. Thank God your here." He says as Abaddon stirs slightly. He notices how adorable Abaddon actually is went he isn't being a little menace, I mean, he is cute either way but this way he doesn't do anything stupid. "What would I have done without you." Nathan mudders.

It was a peaceful night, the snow was falling, even the animals were sleeping. Nathan held Abaddon tightly, his son, his world. But, even if Abaddon hadn't fallen asleep, he would have still tired to stop Nathan, with a short sentence.

"A permanent solution to a temporary problem."
